This concise guide presents 12 key parenting principles for dealing with common behavioral, emotional, and school challenges. By cultivating a mindset of acceptance and compassion--together with an understanding of the executive function deficits of ADHD--you can strengthen your loving connection with your child and help your whole family thrive. Filled with practical suggestions and quick-reference lists and tips, this is the perfect book to read cover to cover or pick up any time you need extra support. Review: Love love love this book! - I can't express how much I love love love this book! The first half touches base on the science behind what's neurologically going on. Second half is ways to address the child with the explanation as to why you do it that way. I am the person who wants to know the "why" behind the behavior and this book does not disappoint. It has helped me to understand my 7 years old ADHDC (ADHD combined) son and how to address and prepare for situations with him. I took so many notes because this book is so informative! If your looking to understand your child/student and how to address situations without emotion, using logic, this book IS IT! My relationship with my son has always been good and open, but now it's taken to another level. Using the knowledge and tools from this book, my son feels more seen, heard and understood. Review: Must read! - Great book! Highly recommend to anyone who has a child with ADHD or helps take care of a child with ADHD

Good starter to understand adhd in your child
This book has given me a better understanding of what I can do to understand my child’s adhd. I didn’t realize all the things she was struggling with as a result of adhd and not just personality/behaviors. It’s given me some good information on how I can better address concerns.

Great info!
I really enjoyed this one! It's chock full of info but without being to dry and hard to read. The info is really helpful and I ended up highlighting a lot to try with my daughter. This is one I'll definitely being coming back to for reference and ideas!

is the Must Have book if you are a ADHD parent
Easy to understand, motivating, emotional and CLEAR. It feels more like a helping hand than an explanation book. Completely useful.

Couldn’t have written it better myself
This book has helped me tremendously thus far and I still have some to go! I could’ve written it word for word about our son. I’ve tweaked my parenting style and understand my son better after reading and he and I are in such a good place!
