You know, I took an inordinate amount of time researching the different leather notebook covers available in the UK, and read/watched numerous reviews. In the end, after weighing up all the pros and cons, I opted for this dark chocolate brown cover from Case Elegance, and I believe I made the right choice!I have to say that it’s been very nicely made using high quality leather, features precise stitching throughout, and its an attractive item which is a real pleasure to use. I do like that the included A5 lined notebook fits nicely inside with the cover having a subtle overhang top and bottom which helps protect the paper. You will also notice (from my photos) that the notebook lies flat - making it easy to write in. In addition, the cover is thick and rigid, so you can easily prop it on your knees or in your lap and write in comfort. I also like the ‘interior’ positioning of the sturdy leather pen loop, which means my rather expensive pen is reassuringly held and protected inside the cover. Another nice feature is the brass stud clasp which helps keep the cover neatly closed - I much prefer this method in preference to the sometimes untidy-looking elasticated ‘thinner than a boot lace’ loops used on many other brands.It’s worth mentioning that all leather covers will acquire subtle scratches and scuffs with time, and this Case Elegance one of mine is no exception because it has already gained a few of its own - but that only adds to the character in my opinion. However, it has to be stressed that the leather used on my cover is of superior quality, which is probably one of the reasons why this Bucksaw product carries a 10 year warranty. Anyway, I’m over the moon with this cover and have no hesitation in recommending it to fellow Amazon customers.
