Shoot for the Hoop (Matt Christopher Sports Classics)

Previewed this book before giving it to a young boy recently diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. The messages of inclusion and listening to your body are fine, but two aspects make me not give this book to him. I don't know that he expects to be sidelined and just needing to remember to carry candy in his pocket is way over simplifying things.

All books by Matt Christopher keep the reluctant reader interested and reading. I recommend all of these books to any child "forced" to read for school requirements. Soon you will find your non-reader asking for the next book.

Bought for my 7 yr. old grandson who loves all Matt Christopher books he's read so far because he's big into many sports, particularly football and basketball.

Loved it!!!!best book ever!!!!I really recommend it for anyone who loves basketball. And the book has a good and awesome lesson.
