Great guide to learn a new hobby
I liked that this book started at the very beginning. The author goes over the history of macramé and a bunch of definitions. And then the author spends a good amount of time looking at different cord materials and the pros and cons to each. I appreciated that so I can pick the right textile for my project. I also liked the range of projects both in skill level and use. There are beginner and more advanced projects, and There are the usual plant hangars. But also tapestries and pillow cases. I am bery pleased with this book.

This book is everything you need
This book is everything you need to get started. Its informative letting you know what you'll need as well as what you don't (which I really appreciate since I tend to go crazy getting things with a new hobby). The patterns were easy to follow and terminology at beginning of the book was very helpful.

A beautiful tradition
I really enjoyed learning the little bit of history about macramé. It came from being a 1970s hobby to becoming a widely popular modern-day art form. Some even making dream catchers and earrings using this method. It takes quite the skill though and this book goes over the techniques that are used to create the knots.

If you can tie a knot, you can macrame
Projects are presented with accompanying photos. The photos are good for understanding how to wind the yarn to make the appropriate knots. Even the most complicated knots can be done step-by-step easily. There are a number of grammatical errors in the book but the instructional parts are not affected.
