Gearmo® USB to 3.3v TTL DB9 Adapter

I'm an unapologetic FTDI fan boy. Their USB-to-serial hardware solutions have been used for years in the embedded products for which I write software and firmware. They just work, and their application vastly simplifies maintenance and reduces footprint on the board. This cable, which has an FTDI TTL-level serial to USB converter chip inside, was the only device of this type that worked of the three I tried. And it did so flawlessly. I ordered another to keep in my tool kit.

Works great. Plugged into my Macbook Pro USB port, and other end to an embedded 3.3V UART.

Bought 5 and vetted them well. Then went back and bought what they had left, 20. Excellent product.Doesn't require an install disc and Windows 7 automatically installs a good driver.I'm using this converter to communicate to a 3.3V UART and it beats buying both a usb to rs232 adapter and an overpriced ttl converter from competitors. Wish the vendor had more. I am about to purchase another 10-20 of them somewhere else because this vendor hasn't restocked them for 4 months or so.
