Meh
I had the book shipped to my seven year old grandson who was not impressed. He usually spends a lot of time looking at the pictures after a reading and often wants to take his new book to bed with him. He didn't bother with this one. His mom did say he laughed twice though, thus the two stars.

Great book!
My daughter (age 7) LOVES this book! She’s so excited to have a book with chapters. The illustrations are so sweet. She’s hooked off of one book and wants to buy the whole series.

No my burp is the loudest!
I was given this book for free to read and review. As my three year old grandson gets older and is starting to learn to read we are choosing beginning level reading books as well as picture books for bedtime. This cute story was the one we read last. It is about a group of animal friends who happen to be nocturnal, which means they are awake at night and sleep during the day. The cute characters have a burping contest but also along the way learn how to be polite and not blame others for what you do. My grandson really enjoyed this story and though it is above his reading level he loved following along with his finger as I read. He thoroughly loved the illustrations and the facts page at the end that explained what type of animals were in the story. Two of these animals he hadn’t heard of before so it sparked some fun conversations and want to learn more. He also found out there are more books in the nocturnals series and he wants to read them all. So I think that makes this book a hit and if you have a curious little one that loves to read or be read to then this would’ve a great addition to your collection.

Always be polite, even at night!🌜⭐️
A nice story with a good message about polite behavior and honesty. I especially enjoyed the beautiful illustrations. I also like the introduction of unfamiliar animals being introduced to children. This helps understanding just as diversity exists amongst people, it also exists in the animal kingdom. This creates excitement in children to learn something new exists in the world and piques their curiosity for further investigation. This book supports that further investigation by adding some factual information about the animals introduced in the story.I gave four stars because although this is one of the easier readers in the series, I think children will still require a bit of support with the text.I would read additional books in this series.I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this title.

Very cute beginner reader chapter book
I shared this book with out 6 year old granddaughter via FaceTime and she read it to me. She really liked the animals portrayed in this cute beginner reader and she finally understood what "nocturnal" meants by seeing the illustrations in this book. After she was done reading it, she had to have a burping contest with her dad which was kind of cute. I also really liked how the author included very useful information regarding the animals depicted in this story and what they were and also explained parts of this bodies. Overall well liked by grandchildren and a good book for beginner readers.**I received this free ARC book to read and then give an honest review of it afterwards by HiddenGems Books.

A valuable lesson
This book is adorable yet very quick set to the lesson at hand. It was fun to read and easy for my child to understand the lesson being taught in being your best self. It also gave a great way to teach a small lesson on the type of nocturnal animals that were characters in the book which I thought was cute and informative to children who are animal and nature lovers. I enjoyed this book and many children will too. I am voluntarily reviewing this book after receiving a free copy.

A burping contest gets a bit too loud
A cute story about a burping contest that gets a bit too loud. I do wonder how many young children know what a pangolin or a sugar glider are; are the characters accessible to the target audience?I was not as keen on the illustration as I might have been. The colors were a bit subdued and the characters were not the adorable, large eyed sort that are so attractive to children.Overall a good nighttime read for little ones.
