The stories are great, perfect length for bedtime, however... The illustrations are awful! They're not traditional at all, everyone is blonde and blue eyed, nothing close to the actual. And they're just weird, starting with Adam and Eve! We'll keep reading it for the stories but I will look more closely at pictures next time I buy a children's Bible.

Nicely illustrated children's version. Easy to read and understand. Good selection of stories. Saw this version at our children's religious ed classes and preferrred it to others that I have or have seen.

This is a beautiful book for youngsters... from an avid 'listener' in pre-school to the middle grades when the child can read it without help.The author is a known Biblical Scholar... you can't go wrong.

My children love this book.

My daughter received this Children's bible on the day of her first communion. She loves it! And so do I. This book presents bible stories in true to bible form, yet easy for the child to understand. The pictures and very nice. It is a wonderful gift for any child. It reads like a story book, and holds the attention of the child. I'd recommend this Chilcren's bible every time!

I recently received this Bible and haven't read through all of it yet, but am very disappointed by the initial stories I read. The stories emphasize the wrath of God, rather than his forgiveness and are likely to be quite scary for a small child. I would have thought a children's bible would be more uplifting.

Beautifully illustrated, the bible is told in story form so its easy for children to understand. My great niece is going to love this for her birthday. I highly recommend this book.
