Global Vision Hercules 7 Auto-Darkening Photochromic Safety Sunglasses Clear to Smoke Lens ANSI Z87.1 Transitional Glasses

This a comparison review with the 3M brand (pictured on the right).Much better build quality than the 3M Securefit Smart lens (SF613AS) and cheaper too. The 3M are temples are very flimsy and already breaking thus why I'm replacing them.This safety glasses fit me better on my face and they are pretty light. I am a 185 lbs 5' 11" male.The Global Vision are slightly darker in the sun. However, they take like a minute longer to clear up in the shade.These are not sunglasses so need to manage expectations. They turn to smoke color in full sun, not as dark as real sunglasses. They are dark enough where I don't have to squint my eyes when I'm working outside on the yard.I cannot comment on their durability since I just got them but I highly recommend them based on functionality and comfort.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great, fits well, comfortable all day, doesn't touch my face.Makes bright screens and work between in and outdoors easier.I get migraines less with these compared to the crappy ones my work gives me.No issues after a 50 hour week and getting sprayed in the face with oil.5/5Tint isn't super dark and takes a little to transition but not bad.They look good on me too.

I have had them in use for a week and they are good. Better than my company issued safety glasses. More comfortable too. I can pretty much wear them all day. As for the tinting, it does work. Not as dark as true sunglasses, but noticeable. Helps when I have to go between buildings.

Comfortable and darkens as described. It doesn't put a lot of pressure on the top of the ears when wearing a hat like many other safety glasses do. Can't recommend enough. I'm on my second pair and I'll purchase another when the time comes.

I needed a comfortable pair of quality auto tinting safety glasses for riding my road bike early (just before sun up) that would tint after the sun rose.I also needed them to double for when I play pickleball with my wife (after the sun has already come up ;0) and these fit the bill all around! They're comfortable and the tinting is gradual and just right.Initially I highly recommended these but since then the side piece that goes behind my left ear broke as I was removing them from the microfiber storing pouch! Obviously this past of the stem (at the halfway point) is the weak point in the plastic frame.After spending $40 on these and them only lasting seven months, I'm shipping for a new pair and a new manufacturer. Perhaps I'll settle for a $10 pair they'll probably hold up equally as well and at that rate I can afford to go through four pair :0)

Very comfortable. But as for the transition from clear to dark. It is very poor never gets dark smoked lens at most never dark like sunglasses. And definitely not worth the value that you pay for it. Tempting to send back and get my money back.
