Simple techniques with little prep. Useful for every grade. There were just the right amount of explanation and I used these practical techniques the day after I bought this book. Worth the money for a rookie or seasoned counselor.

This is a great read for any counselor! From those who are new to the profession, to those who have been counseling for years, this quick read will be useful for both you and your clients!

Although this was different than what I expected, I definitely found some value in the direct guidance on concrete, applicable strategies to implement with clients.

Provides creative activities to help clients express thoughts and feeling or understand a challenging moment.

I really liked the ideas in Ms. Edwards book, but it was quite pricey for the amount of information given. I was expecting a lot more than 15 techniques from this 72 page book.

I heard her present at the LSSSCA conference and loved the ideas that she shared. Afterwards I bought the book and started implementing the strategies she shared. It’s a great resource to use with middle school students and I highly recommend it.
