Hawaiian Islands Tea Company Pineapple Waikiki Black Tea, All Natural - 60 Teabags (3 Boxes)

I was really hoping for a good pineapple tea because they seem to be rare. This one doesn't taste like pineapple. If you strain and use your imagination you might pick up some sub-note of pineapple in the aroma. Mayyybe. My first sip of it tasted , as close as I can describe, sort of like tobacco... though in that culinary way that you sometimes get in certain things as a flavor note . As I concentrate on it I can kind of separate that into some familiar notes of tea and maybe a hint of a rumor of what may once have been part of pineapple flavor. But I might also be imagining that just because I really wish I could taste pineapple. Some of the reviews here sound similar and others say they can taste it. Maybe it has to do with how old it is, I'm not sure. But this was a disappointment for me, especially at this price. I would not buy it again. It's not like it tastes bad as tea, it just doesn't taste much like pineapple. Somebody give me pineapple.

This tea is just OK....really I cannot taste any pineapple flavor to it at all unfortunately. I had the pineapple tea drink at my local Starbucks and thought this might taste similar but it does not.

I’ve purchased this tea in the past and it’s wonderful! However the box I just got today had a warning label on the bottom saying that “consuming this product can expose you to chemicals, including lead, which is know to the State of California to cause birth defects and other reproductive harm”. This label wasn’t on any previous box that I’ve purchased so I’m very concerned about this batch. There also isn’t an option for me to get a replacement for this order which is very disappointing, if someone from the company could reach out to me that would be appreciated!

I might just as well have bought something in the supermarket. I was looking for a tea that would have the flavor I loved one time a couple of years ago at Starbucks, a hearty pineapple tea. This is a nice black tea - nice black tea flavor - but the pineapple was not at all discernible. I'll be able to drink it as a black tea, but not worth the price, because I could get that any day. I wanted pineapple, and didn't get it.

I have wanted a pineapple tea for sometime now. I’m very disappointed in the flavor, it’s there but it’s very light. Company needs to add more pineapple to get a stronger flavor and a better aroma. The price is very expensive for a US product.The price is something that I thought I’d pay for a tea made in another country. Instead of Using the recommended eight teabags are used four because I wasn’t sure of how strong the flavor would be I think I should have used the 8. When I make my next gallon of this tea I will use the 8 and add less sugar maybe I’ll get a stronger pineapple flavor

It was ok, wish it tasted more like pineapple.UPDATE: I had this tea again....and you know what it was yummier the second time around. The flavor more delightful this time. I don’t know if it’s because I let it sit longer🤔. But I did add a bit of Stevia and really enjoyed it with my lunch.

i feel a little bad giving this product only 2 stars. Remember food and beverage reviews are very subjective. I haven't drank black tea in years because of all the touting of the benefits of green tea. That may be part of my reaction to the black tea. There was absolutely nothing wrong with this tea but I just didn't find it amazing or juicy delicious. Not much pineapple essence either.

I purchased this tea for a tea party. I brought it home from a trip to Hawaii and she fell in love with its fruity taste. It was a little higher in price on Amazon, but worth the added cost to get something special for my niece who truly enjoys this pineapple tea. No issues with delivery nor packaging. I would purchase again.
