great book despite typos
I would have given it 4 stars but there are a lot of typos and no table of contents or references or anything besides the chapters on each president. That said, it is concise 3-7 pages on average for each president so you get the highlights and lowlights of each administration without getting overwhelmed by volumes of material. I read a chapter every time I had breakfast and lunch and I really looked forward to it. The last chapter was on the first half of Trump I think that was a bad idea. Either wait till his term is over and write it or skip it if the author was in a big hurry.

Four stars because it is pretty much what I was looking for... a book that provides a bit of insight into the early life of each president as pertains to his preparation and ultimate election. Describes the important issues in his campaign and election. Describes the important issues during each successive term, and each president's way of dealing with those issues. I'm sure an entire book could be written about each president, but I was looking for the basic details. Not five stars because this book is filled with misspellings (e.g., Texas is spelled teas twice in the same paragraph; three misspelled words on the same page). Misspelled words and grammatical errors really distract me from the material.

Adequate overview but inadequate detail
Book would be an OK if cursory history for elementary students if it had more ... well, history, rather than just a smattering of negligible facts. Additionally, the typos on every page are not just distracting but true barriers to trusting the author's scholarship.

It is not complete. It does not have Joe Biden as our latest president.
I thought this book listed ALL the presidents, but I was wrong. Since I am supposed to send this book overseas to Albania I am wondering if I should go ahead and return it for something else (I have already returned one) or whether I should just go ahead and send it and get her something later which is more up to date.

I was lacking in history
This book was an ideal history lesson for me. It's is easy to read except for the many errors in printing. It told me the president left the Navy and went to teas. Even I knew better than that. They meant Texas. There were many of these kinds of annoyances.

Great for Homeschool Lessons!
This book is good and is full of interesting facts about each president. I did find it distracting that there are typos and some grammar issues, but overall it has been a great resource for a homeschool unit study on The Presidents.

Outstanding short summary of each president.
This book does a nice job of writing a short summary of each president. The author also does not judge or try to get political in his summaries. I found it very informative as a reader's digest summary of each man who our country elected to the highest office.

Heard of spellcheck or grammar check?
It’s hard to read any book when it has misspellings and grammatical errors like this one does. It is both comical and sad that this book on Presidents misspells the name of a President twice (it’s “Pierce”, not “Peirce”). I had to stop reading at that point because when an author pays no attention to detail for spelling or grammar, it makes you question whether or not the content of the book was accurate. If you want to have credibility as an author, next time try using these neat little tools called “spellcheck” and “grammar check”.

Simplistic
Does even carry dates of birth fir some Presidents and the sections feel like somebody’s homework. Can’t recommend.

Appalling. Fit only for especially stupid children or adults.
