Simply brilliant.
This is my second pair, the first were a 6.5 and I thought I could go down to a 6, I was wrong, they feel great until you need to do miles or mountains. The first pair must have done a 1000 miles plus. They are light but durable and amazing grip, even on slippery wet rocks. I wear mine year round.I’m now looking at my 3rd pair, this time a 6.5 for sure.I’ve worn Scarpa Mojito before and loved them but this is far more technical a shoe.

great looking, great comfort, great grip
Really enjoying these - good comfy fit with enough room at the front to prevent toes getting crunched on descents; good grip across surfaces; shoes feel strong and supportive and they look fab. Very happy with these!

Narrow fit and slightly small superb shoe.
I wish these shoes had fit me. I have always been a size 9 and a little on the wide side. The nines I ordered turned up in good time, oozed quality and looked great. They were just a bit snug and too narrow. Even a larger size would have been too narrow I fear, so I had to return them. :(

Comfy. Order half to full size up
Ordered half a size up on normal, and that's fine with thin socks on.Very comfy.

Worn after 3 months use
I bought these thinking they would offer the best of both worlds, a robust sole and a flexible but robust upper. After having walking shoes where one or the other wore out, I had a good feeling about these.Unfortunately it wasn’t to be. In the last couple of weeks, while walking in the wet weather, I could feel my toes getting slightly wet. I didn’t think too much about it and changed my socks and shoes after my walk. But yesterday I looked at the shoes to find both have burst at the same place after 3 months of walking the dog. This has been the worst to date. I have sent previous shoes back to the supplier to be told it is typical west and tear. I would disagree. I walk my dogs once or twice a day for about 60 mins and I recall my non walking shoes (timberland boots) lasting for multiple years without issue.I think I will revert to a pair of timbys and see if this is still the case as walking shoes are just not up to the task they are designed and built for. And at typically £100 plus a pair, they are not worth the money.

Super responsive and soft approach shoe with great traction on wet grass
As a climbing instructor I used all sort of approach shoes over the years. By far this is my favourite as it is narrow enough for my man sized woman shaped feet. The traction on wet grass is as good as a decent mountaineering boot and the edging is good enough to climb up to 6c indoors. Highly recommended. Only downside so far that it runs hot during the summer but that would be expected with the gore Tex version. Durability will turn out over time but having other salewa shoes I doubt it would be an issue.

Best outdoor shoes I’ve owned
Slightly tighter fit than expected and may go up a half size next time but have stretched a little. Comfy on long walks and great for walking the dog through wet areas. No wet socks is a winner!

Perfect
I can't recommend these highly enough - I panic bought these a few days before a weekend of hiking and wild camping as the boots I'd purchased a couple of weeks earlier had suddenly started to really hurt whilst trying to wear them in. I had low expectations (especially as shoe sizing can vary so much and I wouldn't get to try them on) but not only did they fit perfectly, they were exceptionally comfortable throughout a weekend of hiking and scrambling, kept the water out very well and didn't even require any wearing in. I'd love a pair with more subtle colours but hey ho!

Comfort
This is the 2nd pair husband has bought! He says the best most comfortable shoes he's ever owned for walking or bumming around. This is a man who wears Danner boots, Irish Setter boots, he has said the fit, is spectacular as soon as I put them on I knew these were going to be worth every penny....he's 66, 170lbs and walks 1-3 miles, 3 days a week he wished he known about these years ago when standing/walking on concrete for work...

Fit well out of box, seems to run a slight bit narrow
I bought these due to reviews of the comfort out of the box - true as reviewed by others. I am a size 8.5 and ordered as such, very, very comfortable.Better grip and more sure footed that many other low-cut trail/approach/hiking SHOES.They appear quite narrow in appearance, but I have not found them to be in how they wear. This is obviously foot/person dependent.Water proof a plus for my wants/needs for intended purpose.Worn for shorter hikes (few miles) and on hilly forested terrain - where they performed very well both up and downhill and also laterally walking across the slope.Again, these are SHOES, not boots, so the same type of ankle support and protection cannot be expected to equal boots.Overall, very pleased. I ordered these at the same time as a pair of "KEEN Men's Wasatch Crest Vent Breathable Hiking Sneakers" and a pair of "Asolo Men's Apex Shoe".The Salewa Wildfire GTX Approach Shoe (these shoes) are my favorite in terms of comfort, weight, performance. Though they are not my favorites in terms of appearance - but are still fairly attractive (if that matters to you).
