Decent dress for the price with some caveats.
I'll start by saying that I do like the dress and plan to keep it. Notice I said like and not love there. While this dress has several admirable qualities, there are also some things it leaves to be desired.Let's lead with the pros first. The fabric is very stretchy and forgiving. At first I was concerned that the contouring of the sheath under portion of the dress would be to clingy for my taste. However the top layer of gathered rouching did a fantastic job of disguising my problem areas. I wouldn't hesitate to wear this without shapewear for the hot summer months. I'm 5'4, with 38DDD top end, big hips, big butt, and a moderate tummy with emphasis on a "top roll". My normal dresses are usually size 16/18 depending on the cut. Based on other reviews and the sizing chart I went with a 3x and am happy that I did. The dress stretches across my bust area without looking sloppy or stressed to its limit and reveals some cleavage without any concern that there might be a wardrobe malfunction. The hem line falls just a few inches above my knees keeping a nice balance between flirty and functional. Now for a few cons of the dress that I am not a fan of.The belt... I'll note that it isn't my style and I didn't intend on using it, but even so, I couldn't have even if I wanted to. Overall it was to lose and fell down held in place only with the two side fabric loops. The two elastic pannels connected the decorative metal front are secured in back with a single snap with no option to adjust. If you are wider in the middle perhaps this would fit fine, or if you are handy with sewing it wouldn't be difficult to take it in, but it was a no go for me.The "Pockets"... see those quotation marks there, that's because despite pockets being listed in the description, there are none. *insert dramatic sigh* What you have instead are openings on either side that look like pockets. These are actually just access points between the top layer of draped fabric and the inner sheath liner of the dress effectively making the entire front (or back for that matter) one giant pocket the size of the skirt. This might come in handy if say you have an itch in a less than polite location you need to address in public or perhaps you might need to adjust your undergarments, but as pockets? Useless. Unless you want to have your id/keys/chapstick/whatever bouncing around at your hem line in the giant kangaroo pouch that is the front of your dress, they are a no go.Construction... There are lose threads galore on this thing. Some are just extra thread that wasn't trimmed properly and aren't a big deal to address, but a few others look like they weren't quite finished correctly. I'm taking a chance on those and hopefully they don't start to unravel because I would rather not have to re-sew parts of this. Could be nothing, could be something. Only time will tell. The shoulder area construction tends to slide out on my frame exposing my bra straps. For a quick fix I wrapped the clear hanger loops around my bra strap to help hold them in place, but I will probably sew in a bra strap hook to better deal with the issue. Could just be my body style and it's an easy fix, so not a deal breaker.Overall I really like the fit and how flattering it is. Its something that I could dress up with a change of belt, jewelry and heels or dress down with a more casual belt, and sandals. For $40 I would buy again.

Itβs short
I loved it but was too short. I did return it for that reason. Also for some reason I thought the chain belt was silver not gold. Runs a lil small

Not really pockets
This is a nice, simple dress. It would be good for a night out, or maybe a casual work day. The one major flaw, for me, and the reason I didn't keep it, is the "pockets." It's more like a sweatshirt pocket, just one giant pocket in the front, like a kangaroo, except there are two points of entry, one on each side. If I would put my phone in there it would go to my knees! Deal breaker for me. As others noted, the belt was huge. I'm not a small girl, AND I carry much of my weight in my stomach.

Very cute, but VERY short.
I'll see if i can add a photo to this later, I originally bought this as a dress for my high school reunion. It does fit very comfortably and it looks good on. The reason why I'm giving this a 3 star review though is because it is WAY too short for me. I admit, I have a bit more ass than most; but I was not expecting it to be that short. I still wore it to my reunion, but I didn't wear it as a dress, I wore it as a shirt (added a undershirt tank for length.) with jeans. I did get good compliments from it but everyone thought it was a shirt and not the dress it was supposed to be. It has pockets; which in and of itself is GREAT and the pockets are fantastic! they kind of remind me of the hoodies with the pouch in the front. (By the way, that same 'pouch' is in the back too! Score!)I've worn it multiple times since my reunion. It looks and feels great. But I wear it as a dressy shirt. A dressy shirt with POCKETS!Edit: I came back, the pockets deserved a star all on their own. So now my review is 4 stars π π

Almost perfect
Frist off the the dress is super cute and I'll be wearing it to a wedding. It's super hot here in California and I won't bake in this dress. The only problem is that when I opened the package yesterday I immediately noticed a strong perfume smell and the dress had no tags on it. This dress was 100% percent not new and worn before. I called Amazon and they handled my complaint. I'm not sure why I was sent a used dress because the perfume smell was so strong that it was painfully obvious that it was previously worn.
