Just unboxed it earlier today. It's incredibly comfortable!!! Best upgrade that I've made to my 5th wheel so far!

I needed to buy a new twin size mattress for our RV. My husband and I bought a new travel trailer that had both a queen bedroom and a bunk area. The bunk mattress was basically a 2" foam pad. I wanted to change the bunk area so I could sleep there as my husband is a very loud snorer. In a small 27 ft. travel trailer that's a problem. I needed a twin size mattress, size 34" x 75", to fit in the bunk room so I could add a three-drawer organizer and make myself a cozy area .I've slept on Sleep Number beds for over 20 years and love them as they've been so comfortable for my back problems. But, I'm not about to pay over $600 for a SN twin and even then their twin size wouldn't fit my size limits anyways. I started researching for an alternative. Given the size limits, I was really having a difficult time finding a twin size to fit my measurements. When I found American Mattress Company on Amazon, they not only had the correct size but also choices in thickness. I chose the 8" and hoped that it would work both in size and with the comfort of a SN bed. BINGO! It was delivered sooner than expected which was great. It expanded to size within 4 hours. No odor at all in my 27" travel trailer. It fit perfectly. I'll admit that I didn't know what to expect for my first night's sleep on it. I'm notorious for being unable to sleep well any time I'm away from home because of back problems and that has limited our travel opportunities.We went Rving the very next week. The first night on my new mattress, I fell asleep almost instantly. Next morning, no back ache! It's been that way ever since. I'm absolutely DELIGHTED! Since then, we've been on 5 camping trips and I've been sleeping like a baby which I never never expected. I truly LOVE this mattress as it has met all my needs. It literally has made all the difference in how and when we travel now that I can enjoy a good night's sleep when we're traveling. Obviously, I recommend this product especially for you RVer's out there who need a good mattress for a good night's sleep.

It was time... my Simmons Beautyrest had given me 10 years of faithful service. Lumps, unseated springs, and a deepening central crater that would make NASA envious, suggested further postponement of a new mattress purchase would come at significant expense to my lumbar region. Two weeks of intense research followed. Reviews, sleep metric studies, materials science and foundational layer topologies made for fascinating reading (yes, I am being sarcastic :-) Ultimately, I came to the conclusion that the only certainty as to what constitutes a great mattress is uncertainty itself. It seemed that no one could agree on this seemingly simple choice. For me, I wanted a "slumber slab" that was soft and comfortable, yet supportive. Also, I was looking for durability - a mattress that would retain its shape over the years without revealing the outline of my bony carcass. Finally, I was seeking a sleeping solution that was both sublime AND economical. That's not a lot to ask, is it? Ok, maybe it is... but I was determined to get as close to matching these ideal features as humanly possible.One irritating commonality among the reviews was that for every laudatory comment there seemed to be an equally disparaging remark that "shredded" the former opinions, making it virtually impossible to proceed with any degree of confidence. The exception was the 8" Graphite-Infused Memory-Foam Mattress from American Mattress Company, sporting exemplary reviews across the board... even if the field was rather small - only 94 respondents. When solid advice is scarce, sometimes you have to "roll the dice", which is what I did... and WOW!!! am I glad I did!!! Not only did this mattress approximate my hopes and expectations... it blew them completely out of the water!!! I can say without exaggeration this mattress is THE FINEST, MOST COMFORTABLE MATTRESS I HAVE EVER SLEPT ON... AND AT $250 IT IS THAT RAREST OF BEASTS - A TRUE BARGAIN!!!Joseph S. BrownWilmington, DE

I was not happy when mattress firm sold my prepaid mattress out from underneath me! I REALLY did NOT want to buy a mattress without ever laying on it so I could feel the firmness and quality. I RELUCTANTLY had no choice but to purchase online as we only had 1 wk left before leaving to RV full time! MUCH TO MY SURPRISE we just love it! We purchased the 8" as my husband is tall and heavy and has a fused spine, he needed a very firm bed. This bed came in the time frame promised. It was vacuumed packed in a very thick plastic. We loaded it onto the RV before opening and it popped out perfectly. The height settled correctly within an hour and the smell was gone in about 6 hrs. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS BED AND THIS SELLER TO EVERYONE! I'm now happy mattress firm sold my mattress to someone else as THIS mattress is a MUCH BETTER ONE!

This mattress was purchased to replace the incredibly uncomfortable RV mattress. The size we had was 70x80 and we replaced it w this 72x80. It fits perfectly.The mattress is so comfortable. This is the best mattress I’ve slept on and is comparable to a temper-pedic.The packaging was typical, rolled in tight plastic, in a box. Two Tweens and a mom were able to unroll the mattress onto the platform in the camper. It is heavy, but doable.We did not touch the mattress once we opened it and placed it. When unwrapping it, we already had the mattress on the platform that it would stay on. We didn’t want to move it a lot once it was trying to expand. We allowed 72 hours for it to take form. (It took form within 30 min, but I was not taking chances).Best mattress purchase we have made. Would def recommend this mattress for any bed, not just a camper.
