Nice wide brim, able to wear it with or without a pony tail, chin strap keeps the hat secure in breezy weather. I have used it to play tennis and hike. Brim is stiff enough that even in breezy conditions the brim doesn’t flop around, exposing my face. I like that I can adjust the size easily. Overall good quality and a very good price!

I purchased this hat for a tropical vacation. My head is small so it’s difficult to find a hat that will fit and look good. This hat fits and looks good. It says it will protect from UV rays but does not give a protection number so I’m not sure it has actual UV protection in the fabric. I had to iron out the wrinkles from the hat being rolled up in packaging but they came out easily. It’s a pretty hat and I like that it is adjustable, has a pony tail hole and the fabric is lightweight and easily packable.

I bought this hat to use for an extended outdoor project that we were going to be doing over a long summer weekend. I pretty much wore this hat for 4 days straight, 12 or more hours at a time, in 90-degree weather. It was very cool, lightweight and comfortable on my head - I barely even remembered it was there most of the time. The ponytail hole helped keep my hair off of my neck, which also helped keep me very comfortable even though I was working in the full sun for hours at a time each day. I loved that my face and neck (front and back) were both fully protected without having to reapply sunscreen on them over and over. The chin strap helped keep it in place without being annoying. The brim is perfect - sturdy enough that it doesn't flop into your face or bend weirdly, but flexible enough that it frames your face and neck so that they are protected from the sun at most angles. It also snaps out of the way on the sides, but I didn't use this feature and couldn't say how the snaps might hold up over time. The overall quality of the hat seems very good for the way I will be using it, and I feel like it will hold up well. It also looks nice! I would definitely recommend this hat and would buy it again without hesitation.

The brim needs to be a tad wider and the chin strap needs to be a tad longer. The hat does run on the small side and I have a small head. All in all I can use it. The hole for the ponytail is sufficiently large enough for thick hair. The color (pink) is really nice and according to my monitor, true to ad color. I have not noticed the hat adding heat while wearing this in the pool. Looks to be good quality and sewn well. Drys pretty fast and does not lose much if any of its shape, even if stuffed in your bag. Go ahead and make the purchase, it’ll do for the pool, lake, hikes and/or amusement park. Works for me, money well spent.

For the past several years I have been on the hunt for the perfect sun hat. I had this vision of this cute, but somewhat quirky, hat that I can wear doing yard work, fishing and going to the beach. You know, the hat that is part Steel Magnolias, part Sex in the City? I have purchased more than a dozen hats in this quest and was beginning to think the hat that I wanted....no, the hat that I NEEDED, wasn't out there. Part of the problem stems from my big head. I have a larger than average head for a woman. I'm not taking a Shrek head, but definitely not petite. Some of the hats I bought in the past simply wouldn't even go on (mostly hats I purchased from Shein). Some went on, but were too tight and after wearing them for a while I felt confident I was losing blood flow to the top of my head. I did find some that fit, but they were either flimsy or quite frankly, ugly. I had settled on a man's hat I found at Walmart because it fit, covered enough to be functional and I could throw it in the washing machine. However, I ran across this hat on Amazon and thought, "What the heck? I can return it (although I'll probably forget and end up with another crappy hat in my collection) so why not?" When I say that I'm so happy I ordered this hat, please know that you can switch out "happy" with words like delighted, ecstatic, joy-filled and blissful. This hat is cute and so functional. First, it fits my head. There is a little adjustable band in the back so big-headed gals like me can have the room we need. Second, the hole for the pony-tail is big enough for a thick, curly pony-tail. Third, it covers your face and neck without being obnoxiously large. Fourth, it is completely functional and sturdy. I just got back from the beach and would spend a couple of hours a day out in the water fighting the waves with my teenagers. I would just put my back to the waves and when a giant one came and drenched everyone else, the wave completely left my face alone because the brim of the hat acted as a sturdy barrier and I had no mouth/nose full of salt water to contend with. PLUS, even though I used sunscreen everywhere, my face and neck are the only places that ended up without a burn. I'm ordering two more of these hats in case they stop making them before I wear this one out.

I LOVED that I could put my hair in a ponytail and off my neck or not if I chose. It didnt look weird having my hair down with the hole. There is an adjustment area in back by the hole so it just reminded me of a baseball cap. No big deal. This hat was perfect for hiking in the dry hot Badlands and windy prairies of S. Dakota. I found the strap to be very necessary with the strong gusts of wind and the wide brim kept the hot sun off my face. I also loved I could change up the style by snapping the brim up either on one side or both creating a cute cowboy hat look. The hats did come with hard creases in the brim. It was easily solved. I soaked the hat in warm water for 5 min. then to reshape the brim I folded it backward along the crease and then straightened out and then layed it in the sun to dry. Also Woolite wrinkle release spray or another brand worked great after soaking while it was still wet (one hat was more stubborn). I loved the hats! I bought 3. Blue and gray, plain gray and pink and gray. I think I got the most use out of the plain gray due to camping... it looked better with more of my clothes. But I got the most compliments on the blue and gray. The pink/gray was a gift for my daughter. She loved it as well for the beach, working in the yard etc. It does wash up nicely.

I live in the south and recently had a cancerous growth removed from my chest as well as a few pre cancerous spots from my face. In addition to sunscreen I was also looking for a UV hat to wear when I go walking or just spending time outdoors. I have never been a hat person my entire life and actually prefer a jacket hood over a hat so I was reluctant to go down this route. I read the reviews and took a chance because let’s face it, I also wanted something a bit cute as well as being comfortable and providing the coverage. I was absolutely thrilled because not only was this extremely comfortable but it really is cute and the price is half of what other major brands go for. I loved it so much I ordered 2 more colors. I know I will be adding to my collection in the future. My sister also has been on the hunt for a sun hat as well and was reluctant order online without being to try on. I convinced her she would love this and she too fell in love! If your on the fence, jump off and order- you will not regret your decision. They are foldable, washable and come in a large variety of colors. . Trust me, this is for sure a HUGE winner! If I could give this 10 stars I would!!

I was reluctant to buy these hats after reading several reviews on how they mentioned it wouldn't fit their adult head and that maybe a child could wear it. That is far from my experience with my hats. I bought 3 for myself and 1 for a friend that really liked mine. My head is 23 in in diameter soaking wet, not to mention when my hair is dry I have very thick curly, wavy hair. I have plenty of room wearing this hat for sure. I bought a couple, then bought more. All fit fine. I've been playing tennis with mine on and it's perfect. The rim extends enough to block the sun, even when serving, and yet it's not so much that it gets in the way, it's perfect! Very breathable, and I love how it's designed to allow a pony tail extend through which keeps my hair off my neck. I have no complaints. Sure there are other hats out there that cost more than several times as much but I see no need for my purposes, which is exercise, working in the yard and so forth. Is it waterproof...no, but what I've seen online even more expensive hats state they are "water resistant" not proof. If I was traveling to a rain forest...I might make a different choice. One day when mine gets really wet...I'll hang it to dry, if it falls apart, I promise to come back and update my review:) **The main point I wanted to make about these hats is I have a typical size head but more than a typical amount of hair and the fit is not a problem for me.
