Red Lion SPS33, 115V, 1/3 HP, 3200 GPH Under Sink Basin and Sump Pump Kit

I set up a laundry room in the basement with a utility sink, and this is perfect and has been working without problem for months. Works great with the washing machine and any use of the sink. I will end up buying another one at some point.

Very good pump. I have a large utility tub that drains into the container that houses the pump. It then lifts the water up nine feet to my sewage pipe . Works great!

Very easy to install, and it works as needed to drain water from an outdoor sink and pump it uphill. The pump is quieter than I expected, and the float switch works well.

An error in the installation manual drawings indicates that the ports on the top of the lid can be used interchangeably for waste or vent. This is false. One of the ports is smaller on the interior side of the lid to fit close with the outlet pipe from the pump. If the other port is used for waste, much of the pumped water will circulate around the larger opening back into the basin and not develop enough pressure to discharge. I falsely assumed that the manual was correct and installed the waste on the wrong port, requiring disassembly to reorient the pump and do more PVC work to cross the vent and waste. Make sure the vent port is connected to your actual DWV venting system. Trying to shortcut with AAV or island vents will pressure lock the system and cause malfunction.

Worked well for just over 1 year before the pump failed. It took 5 days (emailing and calling) for anyone to reply back to my warranty request. Stated that they would replace under warranty but it would take “several weeks” before I could expect a replacement, and there was no other way to get a replacement. Unfortunately, I can’t wait “several weeks” to do my laundry so I will need to go out and purchase a replacement. I would avoid buying this item due to its short life span and lack of appropriate manufacturer support.

The sump was leaking for the top in the location of the screws on top...I noticed that none of the screw were tightened down...I tightened the screws and I'll see if it continues to leak. The pumps works great but at first it didn't turn on until I shook it...after that it seems to be working great except for the leak which I think should be okay.

Ok, so here's the facts. 1. PVC exterior fittings not included just FYI. 2. Check valve inside saves money and time. 3. So quiet you actually don't even here it run. 4. Pretty compact. 5. Customer service is amazing. 6. Works perfectly. 7. I'm not a plumber and I did this myself in less than 2 hours, saved a ton of money.

Works great. Exactly what I needed. Fast pump, not too loud. The only thing was the check valve at the pump was broken off during shipping. I would have returned it but needed it right away and got a replacement locally. They should ship this pump with the valve and tube not installed into the pump to prevent this in the future. Solid product overall except the included check valve is this thinnest brittle plastic possible.

Used this to replace our old pump in the basement. Works great. Would recommend.

I purchased this pump to replace a dead older laundry pump. This thing is super solid and easy to install if you have minimal plumbing skills, very recommended.
