S**L
Close but no cigar
This model was presumably inspired by actress Caroline Munro in the 1978 film "Starcrash"; one of those low-budget sci-fi films cashing in on the success of "Star Wars". The film was pretty awful; a real missed opportunity, because Caroline was good in it and looked absolutely wonderful, a classic female sci-fi icon even better than Carrie Fisher as Leia in the first thirty minutes of "Return of the Jedi", a fantasy comic-book heroine come to life. So looks here are important and the model is - disappointing. The body is nice but the legs are too long and too thin; Caroline has some great curves and there's no need to exaggerate them. The costumes are well done except for the ridiculously high stacked platform soles, though five minutes work with a hacksaw solved that... The hair is ok but a bit scruffy and should be a glossy black. The real problem is the head-sculpt; it'sattractive enough in its own right but Caroline Munro it ain't. Caroline has a fuller face and very distinctive dark eyes; it doesn't appear that the sculptor made much of an effort to reproduce an accurate image and these days that's just not good enough when I've seen better results for a lot less money. I bought this long-awaited model anyway as a fan but I hope Phicen or someone else will make another attempt at the head and do a proper job. As to the price, I got it for about $100 less than is advertised here, so if I were you I would do that too.
