The Amazon Fire 8 sits perfectly on this stand, and the charging works with other devices too.If I could give it just 4.5 stars instead of 5 it is because of the power adapter being device-specific rather than using USB-C.

I recently decided that my old Kindle Fire was past its best, being probably the best part of 10 years old, and it was time I forked out for a newer model...so I did, and felt it would be nice to have a wireless charging dock....I liked the idea of not having to faff about with USB cables, just put it on the dock and job done. Some may consider this a luxury or an extravagance, and maybe it is, but I am happy with it and glad I got it. It sits in the kitchen and although it is set at quite a good angle to view the screen, I do not really use it for that purpose, although I have only had it six weeks and may get into the habit if I am in the kitchen for any length of time, doing some cooking or the like. I do not miss fumbling about with a cable, trying to plug it in to charge it, and for that reason alone I recommend it and have given it 5 stars. I have taken a few pics just to illustrate it in situ, and give a better idea of how it sits. I have a similar charger for my Kindle Paperwhite, so, I'm a fan of this kind of thing, I dislike jumbled up USB's and this eliminates that unsightly arrangement, this is much more neat and tidy and easy to use, thumbs up from me.

It's not a necessary purchase but it's definitely handy and seems to charge quicker than the cable it not huge if you have a case it can flow over the other side

Not essential but certainly handy. I bought the plus tablet and the recommended case together with the docking ststion. Unlike some reviewers I have found no problems charging the tablet with the case fitted but open. Could it be some may have the wrong case or are trying to charge the tablet with the case closed?Another gripe seems to be that the position of the tablet in the docking station is fixed and that charging is intermittent. The fixed position doesn't bother me and I find charging quick and effective.Finally cost, well it is a little expensive for what it is. I don't need it to convert the tablet into an Alexa clock or a photo frame, so I accept the argument of 'expensive for just a charger'. That said it's not essential but convenient. It's really just a matter of personal choice

Looks good, well made and sturdy. I find an angle perfect most of the time so don't mind it not being adjustable. No set up needed, just plug it in. Charging works really fast. Charges my tablet in all positions, with case (original Amazon case) both closed and open, including when it's open and attached to the back of the tablet (despite the instruction saying it wouldn't). Will charge mobile phone with wireless charging function (Samsung Galaxy in my case). Works as echo show with Alexa (case must be open for that obviously), but that's definitely not the only feature that makes it worth buying. Bought with the discount (25% off) so I'm also happy with the price.

This wireless charger is well made and provides a secure platform for the Fire HD 8 Plus while it charges. Further it means the tablet can be used (without the need to hold it) in landscape mode which the origami-style cover that I also bought does not do. The charger is set to a fixed angle which works well and it will charge the Fire HD 8 even with the origami-style cover in place which is extremely handy. I would say it is slightly overpriced but I can definitely recommend it for quality, sturdiness, usability and, of course, it's charging capabilities.

Bought as Gift with Kindle, for easy charging. Pop Kindle on. It charges. Good item.
