Worked perfect on my 2003 500SL. One tip...on the new ones, just pry the clips up enough to allow the ball to go in the cup. Then you can easily push the clip to lock it in place. If you take the clip off completely, you will never get it on while rod is in place.

Solved the issue of a trunk that sometimes closed unexpectedly. Fit perfectly and solved the problem. Hopefully it will pass the test of time.

Reasonable price, and quick ship. These might be a bit weak for a very heavy trunk lid. But, they are working for now, and are probably fine for small or lightweight trunk lids.

These do exactly what they are supposed to. Used to replace the old shocks on my SL55AMG trunk. They are easy and snap right on. Trunk operates perfectly.

Saved myself a bucket load of money by avoiding a trip to the repair shop. The trunk stays open and took me less than 5 minutes to install. Helpful suggestion, watch on utube on how to install, the instructions that come with the struts is less than helpful.

Wow! So easy to remove the old ones and install this pair of lift struts on the trunk lid of my 2005 MB SL55 AMG. An added bonus; A fraction of the cost buying the MB OEM trunk lid struts! They work great!! :-)

2003 SL 500 Easy to install and pretty good value although they may not last as long as the originals. I’m on my second set after 3years.

Just installed them today, perfect fit, came with new clips too, very satisfied knowing they cost a fraction of the price😎👍
