I just received and installed these bulbs today. They came on at dusk as expected and look great, giving off a nice warm light that is every bit of 500 lumens. I will give it five stars based on appearance but will reduce that if they don't last. Since dawn-to-dusk bulbs of this type are difficult to find and since there are no other reviews of this product yet, I thought it might be helpful to some to post this. My only wish is that these were sold in a 6 pack as well, but I knew that going in.

I bought for outdoor garage lights. Each have 3 bulbs. Seemed to work great at first tgen 2nd night no lights on. So I thought maybe each light was influenced by other lights so took down to 1 bulb each. Still no light on at dusk. Have to turn switch off and on to get them to work.

We bought these for our 4 outdoor Sea Gull Lights (8468-12) - each light takes 2 bulbs. With the sensors on this bulb, we weren't sure they would work since there are 2 bulbs in each light (thinking when one turned on, the other wouldn't light thinking it wasn't dark enough). After reading the reviews, I felt pretty confident they would. We haven't had good luck with them working. It seems intermittent - sometimes all the bulbs light, sometimes just one bulb in each light turns on and other times none light at all. We have found that if we turn the light switch off for a few seconds and turn it back on, they will all light. We will continue to use them by the switch, but it would have been great if they worked like true dusk to dawn lights.

I installed 9 bulbs in my 3 front light fixtures. Each fixture takes 3 bulbs. one of the bulbs stayed on in the daylight. I replaced that bulb with the extra one. When the sun when down, all of the lights came on except one of the bulbs. I switched them around, and the same one stayed off, so I know it was defective. Other than that the remaining bulbs work like they should. The 3 stars are for the 2 bad bulbs.When I have I will contact the company about the bulbs, and if they work with me, I will give them a better rating.

I bought them for front of garage light posts, I was always forgetting to turn off lights, now I don’t have to worry about it. Lights are perfect and bright. I only use 2 bulbs per post, it has for 3 which I used them all 3 before. I use 2 because it’s enough light, also since the 3rd bulb will be at the back, I think bulb sensor will be covered, also since it will so bright with 3rd one, it won’t light up.I am very happy with the purchase and I have been recommending it to others. Now I come home at night and it’s not dark anymore. Got them on October 29th still working good .Hope this help you, as reading the reviews helped me to make a decision.

DOES NOT turn on at dusk but does turn off at dawn. ALSO, realize that each is sensitive to another light which is ON within 1 and a half feet. You cannot use two of three together in the same lantern. They must be at least 1 1/2 feet apart to illuminate at all!!

I can’t speak for the longevity yet, but these work great and look great. We saved a lot of money on these instead of installing timer switches on our outdoor lights. No more dark entrances, or forgetting to turn them off the next day. The light is just the right level of brightness and gives off a good light. They turn on when there’s still some final daylight and no interference from other light sources.

Update after two weeks: Only two of the ten bulbs continue to turn on by themselves at dusk. The remaining bulbs only operate with a switch.The white plastic base of the bulb was too large for our lighting fixture, making it difficult to screw into the fixture and make contact so it would light up. We were able to make some adjustments to make it work.
