This books is packed with good examples and definitions that you need to know about object oriented analysis and unified process. It's definitely not for any computer science major or experienced programmer UNLESS you are a beginner at programming. It shows many interesting diagrams but you probably will never use it in your life after you pass your school exams and finish your course.Overall, it is a solid book. Pick it up if you need to know what Object-Oriented is.

it's a textbook. it is what i expected. turns out i don't really need it now because the teacher manily goes from the powerpoint slides that he gets from it. i have it if i need it :) company i got it from was great. fast shipping

Very detailed, clear and simplifies OO analysis and development. It is also very comprehensive in that I find it useful for brushing up on basics when attending job interviews or referencing for on-the-job needs.

This book provides an excellent approach to OOAD. I still refer to it from time to time. As a System Analyst it has helped me through the years as a point of reference. It can be used in a classroom setting and also a real world setting, for an aspiring analyst and in the professional arena for a Professional Analyst.Personally i love it.

Very good book for the people that is starting in an IT job. It is good as suuport for the university as well.Very good explanations, a use case that is developed troughtout the whole book and makes easier to understand the topics.Good value for money.

It did meet my expectation and beyond. Got some additional project management CD to learn how to use as a supplement.

I had to get this book for school. I'm not into the analysis stuff so much, but this book I found very helpful. It is organized better than any other book I have ever read. I am one of those people who likes to go through and highlight things, and categorize things, and often I find myself writing things out over and over again. This book saved me an enormous about of time by already organizing things for me and color coding them for me so that I wouldn't need to write it out separately.

Aside from the lack of Class Diagram constraints (overlapping, disjoint, complete, etc.) the summary sections at the end of each chapter are pretty lame.Rather than summarize with a few pictures and several brief points, they simple have an entire page of blocks of text and page numbers to key terms. This is pretty useless for reviewing (and studying before a quiz, for that matter).Overall it was pretty average... well, as average as an extremely specific textbook that is unavailable as .pdf and therefore has to be purchased used from India or brand new for hundreds of dollars (thanks, professor).

My college bookstore sell the exactly same book for $140. I have no more to say. It is exactly the same one.
