Complaints are usually the most valuable, although you still have to be discerning about context, use, and user competence. When things break or are not as advertised, frustration often drives people to share their negative experiences. However, these complaints depend heavily on the user—did they read the instructions, is the broken part due to poor manufacturing or user impatience, are they operating the product correctly, or expecting the correct result? In my view, it's for exceeding expectations. I've seen money wasted on bins that cannot hold up. Over the years, I've tried bins from at least half a dozen major brands, all of which have failed in some way in this climate. From bins of household goods in storage that collapse over time due to heat, to bins that crack or break with minimal impact, or hinges and locks that fail eventually, I've learned to invest in better quality to avoid throwing money away.Years ago, I started using IRIS black weatherpro bins in my pickup for storage. Today, all the same bins are in perfect condition—the latches still work. Despite being in the hot Texas sun under my bed camper shell, they've never buckled, cracked, or become unreliable.When we began packing up our house for a move, sorting through years of belongings after raising three children, I turned to IRIS again and found their clear "interior" weatherpro line. I've purchased over a thousand dollars worth of these clear bins.The only issues I've had were a shipment with one broken latch and another with one missing latch. Today, I called IRIS directly to avoid returning a large order to Amazon for a single missing latch. Without question, the operator took my address to send me a dozen latches. I then remembered the broken latch from a few orders ago on the black "exterior" weatherpro bins, which have red latches, and asked if she could send me two of each type instead of twelve.Just like that, a quality product backed by a quality company solved a couple of minor problems in mere minutes. That is why I decided to write this review. Over the years, IRIS bins have held up like no other brand, and my experience today, which is rare given the state of household goods sold online, demonstrated both product and service quality that exceeds my expectations. I think that deserves some accolades.

These are amazing storage bins. They have revolutionized how I store things because they are truly airtight and keep out moisture and pests thanks to the foam seal and clamps. I love them. But occasionally you can get a bad batch, so it's important to inspect them when they arrive. Recently I received some that had small cracks in various places and the plastic "hinges" that hold the black clamps in place were broken/not fully formed or the holes were not punched through all the way so the clamps wouldn't stay in place (which means you can't seal the bin shut). I have also received ones with clamps missing. I don't think these are shipping damage but rather quality control issues. Most of the bins I've ordered have been in perfect condition but some have been defective -- maybe 25% of the time -- and I've returned them. So just double check -- and IRIS maybe work on your quality control! But amazing product when they aren't defective or damaged. Also know that the wheel bed on the 103 quart bins with wheels are weak points. I had a few that cracked after a year or so. Granted they were full and we stacked them so there was a lot of weight on the bottom ones. So if you get those, maybe don't stack them. Also sometimes the foam liner comes out -- would be great if these were glued into the top. But you could easily get some double-sided tape and tape them in or glue them yourself.

I bought these specifically for a fairly unique reason - keeping my cats out from under my bed. They happen to be just the right height and width that they serve this role perfectly. Furthermore, they have allowed me to slightly increase my underbed storage while switching to containers that are easier to access than the long, cumbersome ones I used to have.My only complaint would be the fact that some of the inner ridges of the lids came cracked or broken. I used some packing tape to resecure the pieces. Even with them cracked or broken off, I don't THINK they'd significantly negatively impact the function of these containers. We'll see how well they hold up long term.

These bins are simply fantastic! They are wonderfully sturdy and easy to use. The wheels on the 103qt bins are a game changer!! And I didn't expect them to stack well with everything they have going on, but they do stack wonderfully! The lids fit and seal very well. I will definitely be getting more sizes for further storage solutions.

I love these because they have a tight seal on them. I received 2 containers with broken handles and 1 cracked container. I was able to remove broken handles and use the ones from the cracked container. I had to use the containers right away so I was not able to return them and wait for replacement. After removing and replacing pieces I ended up with only 1 unusable container. I contacted IRIS customer service via email and explained the issue. They promptly returned the email saying they would send a replacement container to me and I would have it within 14 days. Great customer service.!

Not only was I impressed with the quality of the IRIS storage boxes, but also the super responsiveness of the customer service. I ordered two sets of the 97.5 L boxes (4 boxes in total) and received them last night around 7:30 EST. I found one of the latches was damaged upon opening the boxes and I immediately requested a replacement from Amazon. I took the box with the damaged latch to the Post Office this morning and the replacement box has just arrived less than 24 hours after my replacement request. Highly recommend this product.

We really like the iris storage containers and have been transferring different items we have in storage into these containers. Especially in our garage where humidity can be high in the summer months. Our concern is that we have to have patience because often the Iris containers will arrive with one having some broken components. We have to then send all for back because your package incense and try to get an exchange our refund and re-order. So keep that in mind when you order these bins that there might be a defect that you have to deal with but once you get a perfect set they are awesome.

I love these boxes. We have limited storage in our condo, so we use our covered balcony to store some items. These perfectly sealed, air tight boxes come in handy. We store our winter jackets and some bags inside. Add a few moisture wicking gels, a mothball or two and they are the perfect storage companion.
