Work too well on cymbals, but great on hihats and cowbells
Any cymbal will just get an unnaturally fast decay burdened with one of these things. As if you’re choking it by pinching two fingers together. Go ahead and do just that to hear what these will do.BUT they are fantastic for taking a whining hihat and dropping the pitch of a cowbell. They don’t mute the cowbell much (DON’T USE TAPE ON ANYTHING, just roll up some mousepad rubber or something and cram inside, or hold the thing in your hand SNL style) but placed on one side they can drop the pitch. Placing on both sides gives you a double tone which probably sounds bad.The whining hihat or cymbal you can drape a moongel on but these may stay put better and may work better or not depending. These are both better options than the dreaded duct tape. Gumming up your cymbals and drums and percussion with tape should have gone out with hairy chests and bell bottoms but somehow persists. Desist!

Not worth the (very high) price!
I expected a more subtle change in the sound of the cymbal. These magnets (even the small ones) killed almost ALL of the overtones. The problem is that unless you place them on the bell, it's like hitting a pie plate. I used them on my Zildjian A ride, my K ride and even my K Constantinople and am not pleased with the results. I expected MUCH more. Now let's talk about price. I paid almost $50 for these, and then found them for less than $20 on another site. I'll be returning them.

Good, not Great
Label popped off right out of the package, which made it feel cheaply made. They worked well on darkening the sound of my A custom high hats, which are very bright. I use bigger cymbals with a lot of sustain, this gave them a nice dry sound when i put them on the bell, which is nice considering how expensive dark and dry cymbals are.Just don't drop these, haha. They'll stick to your hardware and are very difficult to locate.

Dull tone on ride
These kill the tone of a ride cymbal. If you want a better solution use gels. That said these magnets are strong and the case is great. Definitely useful but not what most people expect, ride cymbal lost all bright pleasant tone yet retained the “gong” dark tone, opposite of what you probably want. May be better for other applications or in a pinch at a gig, maybe.

Poor quality for even this most simple product.
So, these are just magnets, right? What could go wrong? Is it too much to ask that the logo plaques be attached upon arrival? Yeah, it's superficial but c'mon. This product has $24+ for magnetics and they look like junk on arrival. The only reason that I even gave it 2 stars because they are very strong magnets if that's what you want.
