Avoogue Raincoat Women Lightweight Waterproof Rain Jackets Packable Outdoor Hooded Windbreaker

Thought I'd need a rain shell for my recent trip to the Galapagos. Turns out, I used it more in Quito - during their recent torrential rain storms as the altitude there made it also quite brisk to be outside. I was really glad I brought it along, but never used it once on the boat tour of Galapagos. This jacket had many pluses for me. 1) Small enough to pack into a 6" stuff sack, so it was easy to find room in my luggage. 2) Truly was water repellent. 3) The XL fit me exactly as I had hoped and wasn't tight or too loose either. 4) Ample pockets for storage of cell phone, chap stick, money, tissues, etc. 5) The clever pocket flap design made it pick-pocket proof, which was necessary, unfortunately.

I sized up based on previous reviews, plus I was going to wear this on the outside of a coat so didn't want it too tight. It's light weight, so perfect for traveling.The main issue I have is that is SMELLS! It's like they sprayed a ton of fabric softener on it (or some other highly perfumed scent) to maybe cover up the plastic smell? I honestly would prefer to smell plastic than perfume. I'm giving this a 1 star because of it.It's been sitting outside all night to air out and it still STINKS!I'm not sure I'll be able to wear this if the smell doesn't dissipate soon as I'm super sensitive to highly perfumed fragrances.If the smell doesn't go away, I will likely have to return it.

I bought this for an Alaskan cruise trip. I wanted something light that wouldn’t take up much space in my suitcase. I love that it folds up easily in a little pouch. Everyday there was light rain so this went perfect over a long sleeve shirt. I’m not really sure what the string on the bottom of jacket was for and it was rather long so I just pulled it out and it was fine. The strings at the top sinched the hood pretty well and it covered my whole head. I was glad I bought this .

This jacket folded nicely in my carry on or my bag as I walked the streets of Portugal. It’s rain resistant, so it was perfect for light rain or with an umbrella. The hood was comfy. I loved that it had two pockets, wasn’t hot, and was easily slipped on and off with the variant weather here.Note: Although I didn’t get wet, the jacket started to get damp in a torrential burst of rain. It dried quickly when I shook it out. It’s still worth buying!

Seems fine for the cost. Tried it on but need to return for a large. Large was recommended but I saw mixed reviews from people who are my height and weight category. I checked the Suze chart and thought medium would be sufficient. Arm length was slightly shorter than I would like. Had space in rhe body area but With the weather changing, need a little bit more room for a sweater underneath. The pocket positions are okay, I just prefer pockets with side access rather than facing straight up so that's just based on a personal preference.

Love this! Fits great and lightweight. Just what I wanted for spring and fall for those windy yet mild temps. Basic styling - I wore it with a long skirt on my way to an event and took it off once inside. So lightweight its not a problem to tote around with me until I left.

It is very lightweight which is nice, but it does seem to run a bit on the small size. It works like it's supposed to, but the arms are a little shorter than expected.

I ordered my regular size, a medium, which Amazon also recommended for me and it was too small. The sleeves even were too short, and when zipped, I couldn’t fully extend my arm as it was too tight. So sad since I bought it on Amazon Deal Day and now to replace it it will cost me full price!

I have had this jacket for a few months now and had it out in a down pour while kayaking. It held up better than expected. I love it. It fits a little large, so I can get extra layers underneath. The flap of the top colour covers the pocket, so things are less likely to fall out. Very lightweight . Would this stand up to 4 hours of hiking in the rain, maybe not, but I would not expect it to. Will it last while I walk the dog for an hour in the rain, absolutely. Packs down really well, so easy to take anywhere..

Great at keeping the rain and wind away, especially for the price. I bought one size bigger than my usual go to sizing, so I can wear something thicker underneath if needed. Bottom can be tightened even if you bought one size too big so no wind comes in through the bottom.Would recommend wearing a longsleeve underneath so you wouldn’t be all sweaty— as the jacket isn’t too breathable in order to be waterproof
