Well umm it is weighted
I got the 25lbs and yes it's heavy. When I put it on my bed I got the 60/80 as suggested for queen and it does not cover the entire bed. It's just me in my bed so it's fine but it I had a spouse or boo thang it wouldn't cover the both of us. Be mindful of that when buying it too heavy to be lugging around for a return so buy the larger if you want some hangage off the bed. I've never used a weighted blanket so I didn't know what to expect and purchased with a completely open mind. It does have a sleep inducing effect and I suggest putting your feet outside the blanket because toes and toe nails can get smashed under the weight of the blanket. All in all I kinda like it and bought it as a part of my self care pampering. So if asked rather to get it or not, I'd say get it. I like it.

This product is incredibly dangerous
I purchased the queen size, 30lb version of this blanket for my partner's birthday. When it arrived, I could not believe how heavy it was (the included carry case is not only a wonderful touch, it is actually necessary to move this thing from place to place). I read a bunch of articles on the proper weight to get, the risks and benefits, blahblahblah, and most indicated that, for our combined body weight (350lbs), this is a bit too heavy. But the customer reviews of blankets of this size were, for the most part, largely in favor of ignoring those articles, so I decided to just go with it and, if it proved too heavy, the gift could still be received as it was intended (with love and thoughtfulness), and that we didn't ever need to use it if it came down to that. The first night, when I first settled myself underneath it, I had a moment of panic at the weight of it. I felt trapped. But the gift was not for me, so I just wriggled my foot out the side and felt suddenly better. Within ten minutes, I didn't want to move. Which is the danger. When I walk past the bedroom to my office, I see this beautiful blanket and want to immediately crawl under it. If I don't set several alarms, I will readily turn off the one and go back to sleep. I look forward every day to crawling underneath its comforting weight. I am hopelessly in love with this blanket. In terms of construction, the blanket's sides each serve a different purpose. I've only been using it for a few weeks, so I haven't had much cause to use the "cooling" side, though at a touch I don't doubt that it is effective (and beautiful). I've been using the plush side to sleep under, and it warms without overheating. Because of the regular pouches of little glass beads (which provide it with its weight), and because of the bamboo-rayon fabric (which is fabulous, both more absorbent and more breathable than cotton), I dare not put it in the washing machine except in dire need, so I make sure to have a sheet between it and myself. Frankly, however, if it comes down to a need for heavy laundering -- I will take the risk and, if the blanket becomes damaged, and if I can't just throw a stitch or two into it to reseal the bead pouch that may come loose, I will consider this blanket to have been worth every cent. A few quick real-deal warnings: this blanket is, in fact, heavy. You cannot just throw it on the bed and call it a day. You will have to move around to lay it out, and when you are sleeping, you can't just roll over in your sleep and expect the blanket to roll with you. For those of you with blanket-steeling partners, this actually proves to be a major benefit (as does the added width they've given this blanket so that it hangs a good bit over the edges of the bed), and I find I do a lot less tossing and turning when I use this blanket. But still, it's something to consider. Some notes on appearances: the blanket's sides are a light and dark gray, respectively, one rather shiny and lovely, the other soft and inviting. I purchased a grey silk pillowcase for my partner as well, and because of the duo-tone-grey design of the blanket, the pillowcase was an easy and perfect match for the blanket. Also, if you intend to surprise somebody with this blanket, make sure you lay it out a good 30-60 minutes before they're to discover it -- it gets a touch crinkled in the carry-bag. However, because of the lovely weight of it, once it's stretched over the bed it is almost self-smoothing. You can press it smooth with your hands and then if you leave it it basically takes care of its own smoothing.

Not 60x 80 but still very nice.
Have Queen sized bed. Wasn’t expecting this to be like a bedspread but it definitely didn’t look 60x80.. I’m only 63” so immediately knew something was off. Measured with measuring tape. I was right.. It’s about 55x73. Big difference from 60x 80. Tag states its 60x80.It is nicely weighted and plenty big enough to cover me which is what is important but doesn’t come close to covering the top of the bed. The navy blue plush is even nicer than expected or what’s shown on the picture. It’s a classic deep, velvety rich navy blue and very soft. One of my cats is already kneading it so it’s a hit with her as she’s extremely particular about her plushy blankets. I will now have to buy a cover to keep clean as don’t trust washing it though glass beads seem to be enclosed pretty well.. The tencel side is soft and cool. I have had tencel sheets so know how much of a difference they can make. The weight feels nice. Not sure if 20lbs. Will have to weigh it then update review. The general rule is to do 10% of your body weight. I’m not even close to 200lbs but doctor said could go higher with the weight. Twenty pounds doesn’t feel too heavy and don’t think would do much if went to lower weight.Reminds you of the lead drapes used when get X-rays. My father was in radiology so remember that heavy, comforting feeling all too well.Overall, think it’s a nice blanket and great price compared with so many other weighted blankets and hopefully will help with pain from auto-immune disorder, anxiety and sleep issues, restless leg. Would recommend despite the size discrepancies which disappointed me.

Great Product if you need restful sleep
We hadn't slept well for months. After putting this on our bed, we can finally get a full nights sleep. It's not too hot, just the right amount of weight for comfort. Great quality.

Excellent Weighted Blanket
Excellent Weighted Blanket, if you want to ensure you cover your bed as a comforter, I recommend going 1 size up as it is barely enough to cover the sides of the bed. (Queen)

This blanket is soooooo amazing. It is very soft and comfortable. When I took it out the package It was heavy so I thought sleeping with it will be heavy but noooo sleeping under it is so light and comfortable. I have been getting a lot better sleep since I brought it

100% Life Changer!
Hubby and I have alternately always had some challenges sleeping. We'd been reading lately about the anecdotal data coming in re. weighted blankets. We were super interested but not excited to spend so much money on a product that might or might not work for us. But after reading more and more reviews, we finally gave in and gave it a try and I now wish we'd bought this blanket years ago! It is definitely heavy (we bought the 30 lb-er), I was somehow surprised at how challenging it was to get it out of the box and onto the bed. But once there, wow is it wonderful. And it's pretty. When you crawl under the covers it feels like a subtle cocoon and then zzzzzz. My worst night's sleep under this blanket is better than my best night's sleep ever was without it. (Yes it can be a little warm at times but as per someone else's review, if you stick a foot out you cool right off. That was good advice!) Haven't had the chance to see how it is in the summer so TBD on that. But for now, I have absoluuuuuuuutely no regrets. If I could give this blanket 1000 stars I would.

Comfortable and well constructed
I've been getting the best sleeps, since purchasing this blanket. The design is great, because the weighted material inside stays where it should. It's very comfortable, and I highly recommend this product.

Cooling and well made
It’s soft and cooling. I needed something a little heavier than my throw sized 15lb blanket and this did the trick! A good weight for the size and the 2 different textured sides are a bonus. I’m predicting it to be comfortable through the summer as well. I also have a 10lb chihuahua that’s sleeps under it with me and he loves it as well

Weighted blanket
Seems like a good quality weighted blanket.I purchased the 30lb 80”x87” to put on my queen sized bed. I should have gotten it a little larger. The weight is heavy especially if it bunches. However as I get used to it I do like it.

The best sleep.
Despite its weight, once under it for the night I slept like a baby. It wasn't hot or cold - it was just right - I felt like one of the three bears!
