Great fit (see photos)
I purchased two, one for myself and another for my father-in-law.I am 5'10" and 177 pounds. My father-in-law is 5'9" and 175 pounds. We purchased the medium in black and the fit is perfect -- not too loose or tight. The neckline stitching problem that one of the critical reviews mentioned is non-existent.I like that it's not boxy and has some taper. The length (both the sleeves and the waist) is perfect too. Not overly long or too short.Material is 87% polyester and 13% elastane. It feels smooth/silky to the touch and feels like quality. It gets 5 stars from me.

Beware if you are buying this for sun protection!
This shirt is NOT an SPF shirt. My husband wore it snorkelling (in the South Pacific) two days in a row. The first day he complained his back was red. I didn't believe him - I said that is impossible. The second day it became BRIGHT red. He was only sunburned where he didn't apply sunscreen. This shirt does not work. It's too bad that he fried his back. We had to buy another SPF shirt on our trip and it worked just fine.Otherwise, it's a nice fit, looks attractive and is a nice color.

Bleeds color!! and stitching came off. How's that possible?!?
I was extremely disappointed with this rash guard. It feels fine and worked well for blocking sun. During my 2 week beach vacation in Philippines, I had no burn/tan where the rash guard covered. But on my first wear, the stitching broke and came under with a light pull. Right side sleeve bunched up after jumping in the water, so I gently pulled down and I heard the stitching breaking. I never had this happen and I was surprised that O'Neill used weak stitching for a rash guard. My disappointment didn't end there. When I took a shower, the water running off my body was black. I was so confused where that was coming from. Then, I realized that it was the rash guard. It bled color and turned my skin black. I don't know how that's even possible when the shirt is made from polyester??I wore a few more times during my trip, but it never stopped bleeding color. Be warned washing it with white clothes.

Size is Way Off!
I normally wear a Large and occasionally an XL. After reading reviews, I decided to order the XL. When I got it, it was so tight I couldn’t even comfortably get it on. Sleeves seemed to be ok, but body was way too tight. Some have said this is “relaxed fit” but there’s no way. Decided to return rather than exchange for fear that XXL sleeves would be too long and still unsure that it would be loose enough.

Comfortable fit, No sunburn, dries fast. No complaints!
I wore this swim shirt in the Sierras during 90+ degree weather for a week straight. Fishing, swimming, and hiking every day. It was comfortable and easy to move in. I swam every day and the shirt dries very quickly in the sun. Not a hint of sunburn, even when wet.I'm 5'10, 165lbs, and the medium was a perfect fit (snug/skin tight). The shirt still looks new after a week of daily use. I ended up washing/drying in the machine, and it didn't fall apart. I have high hopes that it will last a few seasons at least.

Way too Small! This is not an Extra Large
Before going to Jamaica, I decided to buy a couple of watershirts, just in case some of them didn't fit correctly. i am glad that I did because this shirt was way too small! It said XL on the packaging, but there's no way that it was truly an XL. I normally wear L or XL polo-style shirts just fine, but I felt like a overstuffed sausage whose casing was about to burst! Even my wife chuckled and told me to get that shir toff.I put this shirt on, took it off, and stuck it back in the box. BEWARE THAT THE SIZES ARE NOT TRUE!

good value
I purchases 3 of these shirts, and they all worked great at protecting the men in my family from burning during extended time in the sun/water. Equally important, they were comfortable, both dry and wet. I think we are sold on wearing these from now on! Beats having to constantly reapply sunscreen. (Don't forget your face, neck, and hands though, as my son learned.) The white did get quite dirty looking, so I think I would stick to the gray, black, and other darker colors.

Does not protect back of your neck
The shirt is great, with one HUGE gotcha - the very short neck piece leaves the back of the neck almost completely exposed, and the seams meeting right there will basically scrape off whatever sunscreen you put on.Have used this a few times with some full-on surfing-grade sunscreens, and ended up with sunburn there every time.Same flaw makes this a lot less comfortable to use under a wetsuit...Would NOT recommend for anyone hoping to use this for sun protection!

Commandez votre vraie taille - order your normal size
My biggest mistake was following comments and order one size bigger. Unless you are really overweight, please order your regular size. The result, the fit is not snug as it should be and in the water, the fabric extends, horrible feeling. I did give a 4 because the quality is very nice and even if I wore it once and washed it, I do not intend to return it.

Good protection
Wear this to Cuba and some of the excursion trips, including one where I spent the whole day on a catamaran, and some time in the water and some time on the beach. It helped a lot in terms of keeping the heap and sun burn away. Looks cool as well. This one is not the super close fitting type, it gives a fair amount of space between your body and the clothes to make it comfortable, but it does feel tighter when it's all wet.

Shirt does NOT have flat sewn seams under arms, sides, and neck!
Disappointed. Shirt does NOT have flat sewn seams under arms, sides, and neck! Bunching of material in sewn curved area, especially the neck. For the price, and certainly the brand, I expected more. I chose this shirt because of the brand name, and the fact it was a bestseller, and I should not have. Item returned. Buyer beware. (6'1" near 200lbs XL fit perfect, slightly loose)
