Best lighted knocks
I've used these for two seasons now, and I find them to be invaluable. This particular knock activates by pressing the knock far enough into the shaft for a small metal wire to contact. If it is partially connected, the knock will glow faintly, which is good to know (and to check!) before storing your knocks/arrows to make sure they are not partially lit so that you don't let the batteries wear down. To install, simply push the knocks in as far as they'll go without activating the light at all. Once activated, just wiggle the knock back and forth slightly until the wire is no longer connecting and the light is completely out. At first, I was a bit disappointed with this and thought, "what a burden—why doesn't it have a button or something?" which only showed my naivety. Having since used other knocks with fellow archers, I've come to appreciate these much more than those that must be taken out completely in order to depress a button/switch or those that have a small pin hole that must be pushed in with an external tool (knife or whatever is handy). These are much easier to use, are extremely bright, and have proven quite successful and helpful in tracking and locating an arrow once fired—even if it's stuck in a deer at night and is lit up like a Christmas tree! It also makes for some interesting slow-motion videos and seeing exactly how the arrow travels and/or hit/went through its target. All my hunting buddies see my knocks and say, "Ah, you got the good ones!" Highly recommended.Though I've answered one of the questions about the product for someone else, I'll also include it here in my review.Q: "Are the knocks orange or red? They look orange."A: The knocks themselves are translucent yellow-orange. The light is red. When activated, it emanates bright red through the translucent knock, which increases the luminosity.

Do not like at all
Hard to turn off to start. Don’t fit shafts way tight. Thought they were off but one was dimly lit. Don’t seem to be balanced. Hard to shoot vs other mocks. Even the 1.00 ones. Save your money. Way way overpriced. And what is the deal with the wire hanging off it? I thought it was a defect.

Worked Perfect!
These worked exactly as advertised. They fit perfectly in my Gold Tip Trophy Hunter Carbon arrows. I was not sure how these nocks worked, and I had read a few reviews from individuals using other similar nocks that had problems with the light not coming on when they were supposed to. The instructions walked you through step-by-step, even giving possible solutions for when the nock is too tight or too loose. Luckily, mine fit perfect (.245 ID) in my carbon arrows. The nock works by having two small metal contacts at the lip of the nock, one on each side. Once you release your bow string, the nock is driven tight up against the arrow. The two individual connections make contact with the carbon (or aluminum) arrow shaft, and the circuit is complete (yes, the electrical charge should travel through your carbon arrows). The package states it should take 20-40 lbs. of pressure to activate the light. To turn the light off, just wiggle the nock back and forth, pulling slightly on the nock; you want to wiggle just enough to disconnect the small contacts from the arrow shaft resulting in the light turning off. I have shot these nocks about 50 times against practice targets with not one problem, but I will update if there are any changes once I hunt with them. This is my first time writing a review, and I felt that these were worth the time and effort to let everyone know how they performed.

Not for .244 arrows as advertised
These were too tight so I followed the instructions which really was a pain to file them down. In the process of trying to get them correct the nock bent so basically I paid $32 for 2 of these. I’ve only used lumenok brand in my other arrows but when it says fits .244-.246 they really just mean .246.

You Must Fit Them....
I found these to be a too-tight fit in my Carbon Express Maxima Red 350s and were about to send them back for refund....when I came upon a short youtube video by the Lumenok guys showing how to TRIM THE LUMENOK to fit properly in your arrow. After doing this to all the Lumenoks they fit and perform very well. Might be good to view this before installing them in any arrow to make sure fit is correct. I bet Lumenok could cut their returns by half if they included just a wee bit of instructions about this with teh product. Too, note that the RED Lumenok looks quite yellow in all of the literature photos. It actually glows red upon use, and is not at all yellow. Great product. Terrible instructions.

Not so sure these were a good investment.
I don't know why I waited so long to buy these. Most of the activity in the woods I hunt is near sundown, so it can be hard to track game or find an arrow when I miss. These are simple to install, easy to turn off, and turn on very reliably when shot. All things considered, if you recover one arrow with these, they have already paid for themselves.Plus, they are just cool!Update. I have shot arrows with these at deer and small game. Both misses and hits. The nock has not once stayed lit after hitting an animal or the ground. As such, I can no longer recommend them for anything other than target shooting. Also, the second pack of these I bought came with the batteries almost drained, so that needed to replace them before I could use them in the field.

Better than some
They are ok. Not the easiest to turn off, looks simple in all the videos. Also one of the 3 is a little wide in the nock, had to warm it up and bend it together to get it to clip onto my string. Other than that, seem brighter than another brand I bought and activated on each shot.

Best tool for bowhunting
The work extremely well, are not hard to install at all, and did not change the trajectory of my arrows at all. They give me 10x more confidence in knowing I hit my target and whether it was a clean shot or not. Won't shoot any arrows without these again!
