Handy! So much utility from so little!
This was easy to install. Someone mentioned in an earlier review that a simple bobby-pin is all you need. Slip the bobby-pin on the ear strap and, like needle and thread, push the bobby-pin through the wide end of the cord lock. If you have a mask whose band is too long or too stretched out, this is exactly what you need to fix it and make it adjustable.

Perfect for better-fitting masks
These are perfect. I wish more people knew about these. I see a lot of people with droopy masks because their ear loops are too big. I bought a large pack of disposable masks and I put these on to make them fit just right. It's a great value. I take them off the masks when I discard them and use them over and over again.

I Just Needed to Think!
It took a little ingenuity to figure out how to use them... they’re great! I started the refund process and was looking for a replacement item when I saw a U-shaped tool used to pull the cord or 1-4 “ elastic through the device. I used a piece of pipe cleaner, bent it in half, and put both ends through the larger opening. I then put the the 1/4 “ elastic through the pipe cleaner loop and grabbed the ends of the pipe cleaner and was able to pull the elastic through the device and VOILA!! It works perfectly!! And no, I won’t be sending these back!

It's Not Easy But It Is Possible
If I hadn't spent so much money on face masks that don't fit my small face I would have thrown in the towel on the first one of these gizmos. It's a tedious, frustrating, & time-consuming task but I finished all 10 of my masks today and I'm looking forward to being a bit more color-coordinated. :)First, there are NO directions so I went back and read the information from those who came before me. Here are some hints (corresponding with the photos):1. It helped to take my largest hairpin and run it through both holes a couple times for a bit of stretch.2. Each size strap/kind of fabric seemed to hold better to different widths of hairpins. I kept 3 sizes with me and adjusted accordingly. Once I got the hairpin and enough fabric through the itsy-bitsy-really-small hole I usually needed to switch to needle-nose pliers to get the fabric pulled the rest of the way through - especially for the thicker fabric or elastic.* Do not leave a tiny amount of fabric like I did on this one because the holder immediately pops right out.3. The kind of fabric on the pink mask was the thickest I used and the most difficult to work with. These will NOT slide so you should take the time now to adjust the fit.4. Success! And the tools that made it so - notice the hairpins are a little worse for the wear :) These all fit properly, the holders are far enough in that they won't fall out, and they will all adjust except for the few largest/thickest ones.

I love these things!! I won't make a mask without them now
If you are making fabric masks. These are invaluable! Before I got these it was difficult to judge how big to make the elastic for different peoples faces. With these I just make the elastic extra long and I put this on the end and people can make it fit their face. Now I don't stress out worrying if the elastic is going to be too short or too long. They are so easy to put on, takes 10 seconds. A great value for the money. I will be ordering more.

Great for bobbin thread!
These work great for bobbin thread. I pull the end thread across the top of the bobbin, Make sure it is over the center hole and push the thread down into the center with one of these cord locks. Your thread should go down one side and up the other side of the cord lock. When ready to use either pull the thread end towards you, pinch the cord lock or punch it out from the other side. Also, if you let the cord stop stick out a little bit, they don't jiggle around in the bobbin case.

Game changer!
These were great. I have a skinny face and many masks just fell down. I used dental floss to thread these onto my masks and it was very easy. Pay attention to the openings in the cord locks (one side has a larger opening...thread going that way). I ordered 100 and got a few extra pieces (I was sure when I opened the package that I got short changed as it did not look like 100...but I actually counted them and there were more than 100!). Great product!

Smaller than they appear
These were a lot smaller than I expected. You can't really get a hair pin in there to try to thread your elastic cord through. What I've been doing is taking a twist-tie, folding that in half over the pieces of elastic I want to pass through, then pushing the two ends of the twist-tie through the tiny little hole in these cord locks. I push them through from the larger, open end out through the hole. Then I used a pair of needle-nose pliers to hold the cord lock from that open end, and another pair of pliers to pull the twist-tie the rest of the way through. The cord locks are far too small for me to get a good grip on using just my hands. On the plus side, once you've adjusted them, they probably hold their position better than larger cord locks would.
