Oh my goodness, this is what I needed in my life. Even without conditioner or detangling spray this brush is gentle and efficient with wet or dry hair. I have very fine straight hair, but I've been progressively losing more and more of it. This brush has helped a lot with that in the last 10 months. My niece, on the other hand, has long thick wavy hair that tangles very easily. She always picks this brush to use on her hair. She says it doesn't pull or hurt and that's why she likes it. I do have and use detangler on her hair, but even when we don't use it, this brush comes through.

Had the basic one-color Wet brushes that you get from the grocery store. This was a few bucks more but feels much nicer in my hands. More durable too. Gotta love the look as well.

Review for Original Wet Brush (no rubber grip on handle):First, I did not receive the design I ordered. The brush itself is the same, so I’m living with the alternate design. Minus 1 star for not getting what I ordered.Second, this is a great brush. My stylist recommended it, so I decided to try it. It’s as good as she said it would be for detangling. I previously used a vent brush to detangle after a shower. It was a painful, hair-losing, experience, such that I deliberately washed my hair less often just to not have to deal with detangling my long hair.The bristles on this brush (with epoxy ball-tips) are very flexible, almost soft. Plus, they are set into a padded, flexible base. So there’s a lot of “give” built into the brush as it tries to deal with tangles. An added plus, because this brush is much gentler in the way it accomplishes detangling, it doesn’t pull out anywhere near the amount of hair that my vent brush did. It’s been a lot better (not as painful, not as time-consuming, not as hair-losing) detangling experience for me.Another plus, this brush feels good to brush over the palm of your hand, or up and down your arm. A very gentle, pleasing feeling.A possible negative — the padded base of the brush tends to fill up with water if you use it in the shower or on wet hair. I didn’t realize this at first. I used the brush on my dry hair, and my hair got all wet from the water (from the previous night’s shower) seeping out of the base. So now I squeeze the base to try to get all the water out. I don’t know if the water will eventually lead to mold under that padding.Another negative -- I'm not a fan of the flat, smooth handle. It tends to be slippery and hard to hold when the brush is wet, and even when the brush isn't wet. I'd prefer a round, grippy handle.

Where have wet brushes been all my life? They work beautifully on wet and dry hair, and my daughters have no idea how good they have it. Hair brushing is so much easier than it was when I was growing up! I also love the variety of colors, and this “tie-dye” is perfect!

I love Wet Brush. I won't use anything else, myself, so when it was time to buy my one-year-old twins a real brush, this seemed the obvious choice, since one girl has curly hair and the other straight. I chose the llama design, which I received with no problem. My Gramma was right, though and the girls immediately began to fight over it. I ordered another, in the same print, because while I don't think they can tell at one, I also didn't think they'd fight over it in the first place. Instead of llamas, I got mermaids and unicorns. That was okay, because I preferred this design for baby girls, but I still needed both brushes to be the same. I sent back the llamas and ordered a mermaid brush from Wal-mart, only to receive llamas instead. I couldn't find the mermaids anywhere and decided to just order another llama brush from Amazon and see what came. Well, it was another mermaid brush!Moral of the story: great brush, but if you order llamas, you're probably getting mermaids.

Perfect to use easy to clean and most importantly cheaper than anywhere else

This hairbrush is magic for tangles! I don't know how it works, but when I use this brush my wavy/curly thick hair does not feel like it's being ripped from my head. It is so gentle plus it's cute!

I love the wet brush, apparently I have become a restless sleeper, so I wake up with terrible knots and I don't have any problems getting them out now 😊

I have wavy hair that knots if I turn my head the wrong way and let me tell you, I have tried maaaany different types of brushes over the years but nothing detangles like a wet brush!! My sensitive scalp also appreciates the flexible “bristles” as they are so soft and don’t hurt me at all. Love this brush and recommend it to everyone I know.
