Never Girls #7: A Pinch of Magic (Disney: The Never Girls)

Gift for my niece. She seems to be happy with it. I will continue to buy the series for her. Super happy with this series.

My 6 year old daughter is a big fan of Disney Fairies. Her favorite color is blue so her favorite fairy is Silvermist. She has been a big fan of the Pixie Hollow Tales book series and we probably have a dozen of those books. When we saw this new series, we picked up the first book as soon as we could. The first Never Girls book was great. It had a slightly lower reading level making it a better reading book for my daughter. She is good with the first series, but struggles on a few words here and there. In addition, there is a lot of consistency between the Never Girls series and the Pixie Hollow series meaning some of the terms that are unique to the Disney Fairies universe are used in both books. The consistency makes the new series a great compliment to the original. Now that we knew she loved the Never Girls series, we ordered books 2 and 3, which she finished in a matter of a few days, and pre-ordered books 4, 5 and 6. Once Never Girls #4 arrived, she finished it in a matter of days and really enjoyed it just like the previous books. We have since ordered every book in this series. I can only give an opinion based on my grand daughter's great likeness of this series. She was not too crazy about reading books but when she started these chapter books as part of a series, that changed. She enjoys them very much.

My daughter loves these books. They are basically written on a third grade level, but my daughter, whose reading level is far above grade level, still enjoys reading them for fun. They keep her interested, and I continue to buy the next book in the series for her as they are released. My younger daughter, who is in 2nd grade, has just started the series and she enjoys them as well. The first book was purchased for my older daughter by her teacher. The books are well written, with proper syntax and grammar, but also written in a "child's voice". If your child likes fantasy and magic, these are great books!

My daughter (5) enjoys this series very much. We read a chapter every night before bed; each book has been consistently 10 chapters long.This story is centered around a baking competition, and some of the girls get a little too competitive. In some scenese they're not very friendly with each other. This is dealt with positively in the end though. (This one didn't quite hold my daughter's attention as well as some of the other stories in the series, for what it's worth.)

My 7-year-old daughter absolutely loves these books! She got books 1-5 for Christmas and within 2 weeks she was already asking for the next box set! We decided to get the next books individually. She cannot get enough of them! If you have a girl who is ready for beginner chapter books, this is the series for her!

Bought this for my 6 year old great niece. She loves all the books from the series. The words are very simple and easy for her to read. We definitely will keep sending her a book a month
