What Iva Recorded

Much to be Desired
It is an interesting capture of a mildly dramatic day and evening. It was nice to see some character stories unfold and come together, but the ending left a LOT to be imagined.....Masha Mati Prodan (Iva), who is behind the camera for most of the movie, is not at all spectacular in this role. But I am interested in seeing her other work.Ivo Gregurevic (Bozo) is perhaps the worst actor in the film, but it was necessary for the film to have an unemotional brick in the mud and, for what's worth, he played that well.Anja Sovagovic-Despot (Zeljka) and Barbara Prpic (Nina) were, in my opinion, who saved this film from utter disaster, Their characters were strong, emotional and absolutely hilarious. I enjoyed watching them throughout the entire movie. Therefore, I recommend this film for a comedic glimpse into a bourgeois Croatian family. But do not expect much more...

Curious to find out?
I was curious to find out just what Iva recorded on her camera and how it might affect those around her as well as her. This is an English film which shows a dysfunctional family struggling to stay together despite what is whirling around them. The producer shows us a daughter with high expectations of the world with a mother and father who are not the best. A very thought provoking film.

Three Stars
Well played, well put together, a little too long with some motifes overdrawn. Worth seeing, however.

If this tried to be any more amateurish, I don't know how they could have, other than black and white.

Absolutely hilarious!
This film was done so well I actually forgot that it was a movie and I was in the room myself! It made me laugh constantly! No matter what language or what country it reminded me of how close families communicate. When you have love for your family you accept each member's faults and at the end of each day you still love each other! And I believe that is what this film is really about as proven by the look on Iva's face as the film closes!

The biggest waste of time ever
The concept is fine, but the subject matter is awful. Actors were terrible. I kep waiting and waiting for a story line to develop, but it never came. When it ended I was very happy - that it was finally over.

Incredibly real
Like being a fly on the wall. I felt like I was in some family's home, invisible, sitting on their couch and at their kitchen table. This didn't feel quite like a dramitization or a documentry, but something more genuine and effortless. "What Iva Recorded" will excite both your left and right brain. There are English subtitles, although I still don't know what the spoken language is.
