ELEGANCE GEL Triple Action Hair Gel, Earth, 33.8 oz

I'll start this review off by reminding everyone that people do have different hair. The thickness, oiliness, and how separated your follicles are can determine how this product works. For example, pomade works on a lot of folks's hair, but not mine.So the product came on-time, I have prime so it came within a day and a half. Right on time because I had ran out of gel that day. It came in a shipping envelope with bubbles and the product came with it's original seal and plastic wrap. There were no leaks to speak of, label wasn't damaged, and the plastic container didn't have a single scratch or crack.After unwrapping the product, I was first greeted by that really nice 'Earth' scent that I've never smelled before from Elegance. It really smells great, and doesn't smell synthetic or cheap. The gel is really thick, so thick that when you turn the jar upside down: it doesn't fall, leak, or 'slime' apart for lack of a better word.When putting it onto my hand (finger dip) it felt nice and cool and easy to rub onto my palms. When applying onto my blow-dried hair, it immediately starts to shape my hair into the expected final product that would take me about 2 more minutes to do with a competitor's product (cough gummy).. So it does cut styling time in half. This gel does take time to dry, I'd give it about 10 minutes under a ceiling fan or 20 minutes with no assistance. So don't move your head around too frantically after styling! This goes for any gel, anyway.Once the product was dry on my hair, it felt really nice and natural.. Almost like I didn't have anything on my hair. Very light. My hair still smells great, looks like the perfume used in the Gel lasts quite a while.. I'm the kind of guy that likes to drive with his windows open on his car, and my hair does not get messy or fall apart with the wind which is great for all-day wear.At the end of the day, the gel did it's job for more than 16 hours. At this point, the hair is still shaped up nicely but is beginning to separate due to sweat and humidity from the outdoors.. however, not as badly as other products! Like I said, it's still shaped nicely. If you wanted to apply more gel on the go to re-style without washing, YOU CAN! I'm saying this loudly: NO FLAKING!! It's awesome how they've formulated this so well. Also, it does NOT look greasy and wet, but it retains your hair's natural shine and doesn't burn it with alcohol.For optimum gel consistency and performance, make sure you store it out of the sun light (no windows) and in a cool place. There's a reason that jar is black, probably so light doesn't get in! Cold Gel is also ineffective gel.. don't let it get too cold or it'll go on sloppy. 75° is a good temperature.I've bought the 32oz jar, and for 15 bucks it's a bargain. If you were to buy this at a store, they'd charge you more than $30.

I had heard good things about this gel so I decided to give it a try. The value for the money is great compared to other hair products I've purchased. The scent was pleasant, but I didn't like the way it felt on the hands. I know it's not a hand product, but I felt that the sticky feel was being applied to my hair. I know gel is supposed to feel sticky, but this was too much. It also had a higher shine level than I wanted it to have. It also left my hair feeling stiff, and I'm not a fan of that. I like my hair to feel natural when running your fingers through it. This would have been a great product in my early 20's when the blowout was in.

If you really like firm holding gel, you can't beat this. The strongest gel on the market that holds (aside from wax/clay products) is probably "sexy hair" or "super glue" by Crew. This is somewhere in between both of those. Perfect hold but doesn't come with that crappy pump that leaves 1/4 of the gel still in the jar. This one, the top comes off and you can use all of the gel. Also, most strong gels like "sexy hair" have blue coloring to them which makes your hair look blue... no idea what the point in that is and always bugged me why they wouldn't make it clear. This is almost clear with a slight tint of blue so it doesn't make your hair look like it's dyed a different color.

I use hair gel everyday so I go through it fast. I have tried tons of different types of gels both cheap and expensive. The last gel I used was Sexy Hair Hard Up blue. This stuff was decent but leaves blue residue in your hair and is expensive. This gel is way cheaper and comes in a huge container. The hold is just as good as Sexy Hair but doesn't leave residue. This gel goes on a little stiffer but doesn't present a problem. The scent is pleasant. It looks like I'll be using this stuff for a while.

Gel smells good and my boys like it, but the hold is not all day. It does dry out and hair may frizz out, especially in high humidity. Not bad for the price, but there are better gels.

I first became familiar w/ this hair gel at the hair salon I go to. The jar at the salon was the same size as this but for twice the price so my stylist suggested I purchase it from Amazon at a cheaper price. As long as you don't use to much of it or else it will clump up, it holds your hair in place and leaves a nice shine. This product works best on clean hair. I definitely recommend this product.

Despite all the bad reviews about people receiving their hair product broken inside the amazon package, I received mine in perfect condition, i was actually a little hesitant to buying it after reading all the “received a broken container” reviews, im glad i did oreder it, and would definitely buy again

I’ve been using the elegance extra strong gel for a while, much prefer the extra strong scent over this one. This kinda smells like soap to me. But it does hold a little better than the extra strong
