I am blown away AGAIN!! I wish I could give 10 stars!!!
I have read this book twice. The first time I read so fast, trying to move from one wonderful moment to the next. This is a true love story of epic proportions. Really, it is multiple love stories. After all, how many of us get a second chance at true love? Or meet your soul mate? There is joy, sadness, grief. And disappointment, when the marvelous Vampire Cure is a failure. And the new strain is so much worse.p Jefferson Unit must once again gear up to do what they do best, kill vampire! The retired knights are returned to active duty. The young men who are training will have less time than usual. Not everyone is happy about it but like any Family, they pull together and get down to business. Z Team is featured and we learn more about them, especially one Raphael Nightsong. After a disastrous speed dating episode he finds that he can't help thinking about the girl. But he only knows her first name. Then a new female scientist at Jefferson Unit has to travel to Bulgaria and Z Team is traveling with her for her protection. In the meantime the JU needs a new Sovereign, with the death of Sol and Rev Farthing is just the ticket. Plus he has eyes for Farnsworth.I must say that I have been a fan of the Black Swan Series since the first-time I read My Familiar Stranger. Since then I have waited anxiously for each new book. Every single time I am blown away with the way Danann writes. She is magic. Her characters are layered, interesting and so very real you can't help but feel a part of their lives. When they are sad, or mad, in love, worried, sexy or fighting for their lives, I am feeling those emotions right along with them.I said in the beginning that I have read this book twice. Actually, I have read All of the series at least twice because I love these people and I love the adventure, excitement, love and the feeling of family. Plus, there is always something new. Every new book is better than the last! I cannot wait for the next Black Swan Adventure. Please, please read this series!!! If you don't, you will miss out on more than just a wonderful story, you will miss out on getting to know very special men and women and you will miss the chance to share in an awesome experience that is Victoria Danann's Black Swan Knights ! Nothing else compares. VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Great Series!
I just want to let you know that before you read Book 1, purchase ALL 7 books because it's great fun to read them back to back.I'm not usually a vampire, werewolf reader, but Danann creates such rich characters from all different genres that it makes for great fun. You have characters from different realms along with vamps, werewolves, demons, angels, elves, etc. and they all work so well together. Because of the way they're written, you really come to care about these characters and look forward to seeing what they're up to in every book. Great mix of humor, romance, action, and suspense. Very few books feel like you're revisiting old friends and is a testament to this author's talent.I also love this series because Danann does a great job of continuing the storylines of most characters from book to book. There are some you see more than others (more Baka and Kay please) but overall, it's great fun to see how characters like Ram, Elora, and Glen evolve over the course of the year or two this series covers. The books are so interconnected that you really want to start with Book 1. If you start in the middle you'll be lost and you won't get to see the great interactions between the central characters that evolve from Book 1 and continue on til this book.I have to say, I didn't really care that much for Sol one way or another til this book. I mean, he was there directing, but there wasn't much else to his character. This book really delves more into his life as well as Farnsworth and provided yet another interesting storyline to the Knights of Black Swan. Even the characters from Z Team start to turn around and I never thought I'd see that! :) The story packed a big emotional punch that I loved, along with the usual action and romance each story contains. If you're looking for a different take on the typical paranormal genre, please give this series a try. You won't be disappointed!I can't wait now for book 8 to come out!

A wonderful book, a great series!
Victoria Danann has done it again with book seven. She is a master storyteller creating complex and compelling characters. Even when they are infuriating, one can’t help loving them and hoping they will succeed. At the start of this tale, most of the characters are suffering from various states of shock from recent events. The death of the Solomon, the Sovereign of Jefferson Unit, has left its scars on everyone. Farnsworth has to face life without her one true love while wrestling with the guilt that she might have been responsible for his death. Sol himself is trying to deal with an unbearably insipid afterlife. Glen has to handle the unwanted job of temporary Sovereign while wondering if he has destroyed his relationship with the woman he loves. Despite their protests B-Company is called back to active duty to deal with an escalating crisis. None of them are handling this new call to danger very well. Then there are Mercy and Raif. Both are wounded from their disastrous meeting at speed dating night. There is no actual villain in this piece. The vampire threat is present, but the characters main challenges are caused by their own personalities, their doubts, their fears, and nature itself. This is a book about second chances. What choices do you make? Do you open yourself up risking pain or do you hide away becoming numb? As the sieve in the title suggests, it is about separating what is truly important and needed from what is not. Solomon’s Sieve will captivate and entertain you. The series should be read in order – My Familiar Stranger, The Witch’s Dream, A Summoner’s Tale, Moonlight, Gathering Storm, A Tale of Two Kingdoms, and Solomon’s Sieve. You will not be sorry. This is a wonderful series. The characters will become friends and you will look forward to each new book.

A Brilliantly Written Novel, but something is missing at the end.
When I heard about a new book coming out in the Black Swan Series it made my year! When I got my hands on my copy I eagerly dived straight into it and was greeted with a familiarity that I had not realised you could miss so much from a book series. The vision of the world where the Order of The Black Swan lives and the likes of the adoring Animal House and rough housing Z Team were out nightly riding the world of vampires. A place where Lady Elora Laiken fell into in Book 1 and changed everything as that dimension and everyone within it, knew it.We start roughly just before where the last book ended with the death of the Sovereign of Jefferson Unit - Solomon Nemamiah and go back in time to what lead up to his untimely dimise. What happens next is a shock to say the least but I won't talk about that because I do not want to give anything away, reading it first hand yourself will give you so much more pleasure, trust me. Sol's fiancée Susan Farnsworth was left devastated by his death and had worked hard at trying to muddle through her life so far. Taking one day at a time and beginning to look to the future, Susan is stunned when the new Sovereign Rev Farthing who is 13 years her junior, begins flirting with her she is stunned. A wonderful plot of love, honour and forever truly means whirls and twists it's way within the book around another important plot line.Dr. Mercy Renaux, we meet right at the beginning of the book, where she encounters the hot, impulsive, rough and ready Sir Rafael Nightsong. Unfortunately their personalities clash in a war of words and tempers leaving them both annoyed but imprinted upon each other that they find it almost impossible to get each other out of their heads. Neither thought they would see each other again but as luck would have it fate steps into play and Mercy is hired by The Order. Unbeknowns to them both Raif's latest order are to protect the newest and most important new member of The Order along with the rest of Z Team. The though of being pulled off patrol to end up "baby sitting" someone doesn't sit well with the team, that is until Mercy steps onto the plane and the games changes instantly. Raif feels like time has stopped but is frozen to the spot in the shock of seeing her there and that he is her new mission that he simply misses his chance to apologise for his horrendous behaviour towards her the day they met. Torn spotting Raif's reaction to Mercy and the fact that he is a ladies man has him instantly flirting with her mixing things up to a boiling cauldron that turns to a triangle of cat and mouse. Never have two people wished to be somewhere else than where they currently are!I personally feel that this long awaited addition to the Black Swan Series was a very good novel and I did really enjoy it, but not as much as the other within the series previously as there are many questions left unanswered when it has been made clear another full novel in the series is not on the cards. So just why is one of the major plot line so carelessly overpowered by another plot line and then left unfinished when it could have added a whole new layer to the novel, making it even more exciting and then bringing it full circle within the case to a neatly tucked up close? I have an exceptionally high opinion of Victoria Danann and I respect her as an author on one of the highest levels so I find it hard to understand just why she has chosen to go along with this oversight? I's Only because of this I couldn't give it the full 5 stars and could only give it a 4.

Oh my!
There is no way I can do justice to this brilliant continuation of a wonderful series. I loved, loved, loved this book. I loved the romance of it (am always a sucker for a good romance). I loved the adventure and I really loved the feeling I get of coming home when I read one of Victorias books. All my favourite characters were there together with some new ones who I came to love as well. The whole Sol, Farnsworth storyline had me gripped. Have always like the alpha male that is Sol but now have a whole new appreciation of him and of a love so strong not even death can stop it!! This is brilliantly interwoven with a new love between Sir Raif Nightsong of Z Team and Dr Mercy and if that wasn't enough the whole lot weaves around the shock of the mutating vampire virus bringing all retired Knights back into active service, much to the disgust of some! For anyone who hasn't read any of this series yet, do yourself a favour and start at book one. You won't be disappointed and will be welcomed into the family of Black Swan Knights with open arms.

Another Brilliant Read
If you have read any of the other Black Swan books then this is a must. At first I wasn't sure I was as interested in Raif and Mercy's story but by the end I wanted more and really got to love them. As other reviews have mentioned it was interesting, funny and good to read more about Z Team who I actually grew to like! Great to read about the usual characters and their continuing stories (I really would miss them if they weren't mentioned) plus the twist in the tale with Rev. I felt quite sad when I had finished because I now have to wait for another book and felt as though I was saying goodbye to friends. I don't know when it will happen but I am hoping we will hear more about Rosie and Glen.

Knights of the black swan books 1-7
What can I say?Well I love these books, I gave thought to why I love them so much and came to the conclusion that yes I love the genre, paranormal has been my thing for 30 odd years ( yes I'm that old)But Really the books are just well written, the narrative is smooth fast passed and the characters well rounded, there is a main story and lots of small interactive pieces going on behind this. The subtext is excellent and the books follow smoothly from one through to Seven.I don't want her to stop there are so many characters and plots left. What is going on with Rosie and Glen? Will Helm grow to be King? Will Animal house stay settle marry??Please carry on Victoria ......I'm a fan who thanks you from her heart your vocation is writing, I think the subject matter probably doesn't matter, you would make it work !
