I'm using this product for more than a year now. I started before they change the bottle cover to the new one.I have a genetic high cholesterol. The product is great in performance, just two pills ,15min to half an hour before lunch ,and same before dinner keeps my cholesterol level within bounds. I don't take it before breakfast just because I take vitamin D with the morning meal, and chitosan will interfere with Vitamin D (and vitamin A as well) absorption into the body.I take the pills within the dose limits , as I mentioned, and I did not experience any side effect.I really recommend it , of course after consulting a Doctor, to ones who want to control cholesterol levels , or to those using other supplements for reducing weight (if Chitosan does not exist already in these supplements), and if the intended user is not one within those warned by the product literature on the bottle. .

I want to share my experience using chitosan and how it has helped me improve my kidney function.I was diagnosed with chronic kidney disease a few years ago, and my doctor recommended several lifestyle changes to help manage my condition.After extensive research, I decided to try chitosan supplements, and I'm glad I did. I am checking my blood work results in case there are any changes to the minerals like calcium, iron, and zinc because it can lead to some mineral deficiencies if not addressed on time. Of course, everyone's experience may differ, so I recommend talking to your doctor and researching before trying any supplements. For now, chitosan has been a valuable addition to my kidney disease management plan.

UPDATE: 02/05/2021 This company needs to improve their shipping! I ordered this item in 02/02/2021 and it will not arrive until 02/11 to 02/17/2021. That is unacceptable. Shipping an in stock item should not take this long. I will most likely order from another retailer because of this. I have downgraded to 4 stars because of this.I only bought this supplement because my Creatine levels were rising. Heard rumors that Chitosan could maybe bring the levels down. Well I have to tell you...it worked! One side effect of my cancer is that it effects my kidneys, which raises my Creatine levels. In early January of 2020 I started taking four tabs daily, two in morning and two in evening, even though bottle states to take six a day. After only three weeks of using Chitosan my levels went from 1.6 to 1.00 and have stayed there ever since. I have blood tests every week, so since taking this I have had at least ten blood tests and all show my Creatine levels in the normal ranges every test I get. My Oncologist is even thinking of telling his other patients about this supplement. Most of the time I do not believe that supplements can do what they promise they can, but with this one, it has worked as advertised. The proof is in my weekly blood tests. I have had absolutely no side effects. Would highly recommend this to anyone that are having the same high Creatine levels that I have had. I would also suggest taking Alpha Lipoic Acid and Selenium alone with Chitosan. They all work together, but Chitosan is the main Creatine reducer. I know this as I took the other supplements by themselves first and even though they lowered the Creatine levels a bit, the levels really didn't go very far down until I added the Chitosan.

Not what I thought it would do.

I didn't realize this product had magnesium stearate. Once I received it, I went to whole foods to return. It was never in an environment that would cause harm, yet Amazon calls it a food safety issue and won't take it back. Be weary if you ever buy supplements from Amazon, they WON'T SUPPORT THE CUSTOMER TO RETURN. MAGNESIUM STEARATE IS NOT CONSIDERED HEALTHY BY MANY consumer advocates and health professionals!! Read the label and return policy first, in not, Amazon will screw you over.

My Kidney function was a 3B I was well on my way to dialysis!! searching You tube for answers I saw a video of the Kidney Doctor and he talked about Creatine I search Amazon for the product that he suggested and was praying this would work!! I was eating right drinking lots of water (you have to do this water is essential) my kidney function went up 12 points in 3 months!!! Please Please Please do this!! Watch what you eat investigate what is hard on the kidneys as far as supplements go and you will be well on your way to a heathy NO DYALISIS LIFE!!!

I bought these to add some fiber to my diet and to also naturally curb my appetite a little bit . I think they seem to be working for me. They are easy to swallow. I like that I can decide the amount that I take by either taking them with one meal, two meals, or three meals to get the amount that I prefer.
