All Steel Kitchen Shears

I've owned these for almost 2 years now and I'm very happy with my purchase! They do the main job I bought them for extremely well - they chop through anything I've attempted to cut very easily (meat, fish, vegetables, herbs, spring onions, packaging etc), as well as having little extra features that make them even more useful. In particular I've found the little bits sticking out of the tops of the handles surprisingly handy, in the video they're shown being used to open a can, and I have done this once on a can where the ring pull broke off, but I mainly use them to lever under the edge of jar lids to "pop" the airtight seal, which makes them *so* much easier to open! I have a medical issue which has led to muscle wastage, so jars can be hard to open sometimes, but when I break the seal this way there are very few jars which defeat me! They're also very useful for any other levering tasks around the kitchen (e.g. opening tins with flat "pop out" lids, like golden syrup and custard powder), and without risk of bending the ends of your cutlery or whatever you might use instead! They come apart very easily for cleaning; possibly the only criticism would be that they come apart so easily they sometimes do it when I've just opened them a little too far, but this hasn't been a major issue, as they're so easy to put back together on the rare occasion this does happen. We usually wash them in the dishwasher, but when I've only used them for something like herbs I sometimes just give them a thorough rinse under the tap and they come clean extremely easily. The blades have remained sharp despite them now being almost 2 years old, and they haven't rusted or become stiff to use. The scissors feel extremely sturdy and well made. Highly recommended!

I never thought I'd want to share just how good a pair of scissors are, but here I am. After years of wasting money and resources on plastic handled scissors, I am never looking back. These are so good, I bought a second pair. We've had ours a few years and use them daily. They still perform like new. They are strong, sharp and reliable. The bottle opener section is great. They are strong enough to cut smaller meat bones and make cutting up meat so easy. Can someone please stop the production of plastic handled scissors?! Those things are no good for kitchens and dishwashers. But these are!! Value for money, comfortable to use, well made, sharp, strong, useful. The only scissors I will ever need for my kitchen.

Easily jointed a chicken. Sharp, robust and perfect addition to my kitchen. Being able to separate the blades makes cleaning easy. Highly recommend.

What you get:- The scissors arrive in the plastic sealed packaging we all know and love...you know the type you really need a scissors to open....go figure. The first thing you notice is that these feel quite heavy. Not in a bad way but in a decent quality way. They don't feel flimsy and light but solid and functional. The hand grips are large enough to use comfortably but not so large as to feel clumsy. The action is smooth and the blades are very, very sharp. Only time will tell how long they will remain this way. I really don't care about the nut cracker, the bottle opener, etc...I wanted scissors to cut stuff with and that's it. Opening the blades past about 90 degrees allows you to pull them apart. The only reason I can see you'd want to do this is to clean them. One reviewer complained that you don't need to open that far in use before they seperate....which is utter rubbish, I have no idea what that reviewer was trying to cut but he was using the wrong tool for the job. These were bought as a family member has arthritis and was finding the existing kitchen scissors extremely difficult and uncomfortable to use. So far they've had no problems with these and thinks they're very good. So in summary, a very good pair of kitchen scissors that appear to be very well made with good quality material. Some bells and whistles most will never use and while quite expensive compared to other scissors these feel they'll last a long time so could easily work out better value for money.

Well made scissors that feel like they will last a lifetime. The two sides detach, and are one solid piece of metal, so it's very easy to hygienically clean. They're also sharp enough to cut through an entire pack of bacon with ease. However, they can sometimes feel like there's a little resistance in opening and closing, but that oddly gives it quite a reassuringly robust feel

love that it is detachable and i can clean the part around the hinge so easily. can simply detach and put in the dishwasher. dries fast, no need to worry about rusting or grime build up around the hinge. well made and feels so solid. hopefully will last a lifetime
