Parafoil 2 Rainbow Kite (13" x 21") with 500' of 50lb Test Line

This is a great little kite. It was easy to fly and stayed aloft despite shifting and gusting winds. It also was great to watch as it turned and danced in the wind. We also liked how small it folds back up. For the avid kite flyer, it could easily be put in your glove compartment to be flown whenever the wind is up.

I bought this for my son so I didn't fly it personally but I was told that it performed satisfactory. I purchased a different kite for my other son. They went together to fly their kites on a day that wasn't particularly windy. This kite didn't perform as well as the other (octopus kite) on a less windy day. My son did mention that if it were a little bit windier he would have had better luck keeping it up in the air. I wish I could comment on the appearance of the kite, the picture looks great, but I didn't see it personally.

This is a great kite, its all in one piece, we had it up in running within three minutes, it was beautiful and worked great, a 10 year old and seven year old were strong enough to hold them. They were an instant success and a big hit with the kids! They were durable too after getting stuck high in trees :).

It looks like the picture. It will fly. Everything is included. My issue is my other pocket kite is made out of a parachute type nylon fabric. This is some stiff crinkly material. It is impossible to fold it up and and get it with the string reel back into the bag shipped with it. Why would it include a bag that is too small to use to store the kite and string it? Very disappointed.

I bought several parafoil kites for the nephews (ages 6 - 10)to take to the beach this summer. I worried that it would be a big disappointment with them not being able to get them to fly, but they were up in no time. Even the youngest was able to fly his kite without any help. No frame makes them fold back down and fit right back into their bag for storage. They come with a spool of kitestring, but you will need to provide a dowell or stick for the handle. Really glad I bought these.

This kite was easy to get up, fun and easy to fly, but disappointing because the tail was glued on and came off after a few minutes. I would have glued it back on, but we lost it over water.

Until this purchase we have been using kite form world market and unfortunatley the quality was not what you would expect, so i remembered when we lived in CA there were tons of kites w/o stick frame...untraditional but great concept and easy to control, so i went on line and found this kite...my 11 year old absolutley loves it! takes just the slightest (but constant) breeze to pick it up...great kite for the price....hope it will hold up at least through this year, we are a frequent users of kite (every weekend) and so far so good, it has been just under a month and kite is still "alive".

I usually dont write reviews(call me lazy) however I am writing for this one because I wanted to share my not so happy experience with this product. I am by no means an expert at kite flying nonetheless the previous 2 kites I picked from Target worked like a charm, however they did not last long. Therefore this time I wanted to go with something more durable and long lasting so picked up this kite. I live on the waterfront of Hudson river, it is usually quite windy by where I live yet I would not get this kite to take off. I had 2 unhappy toddlers at the end of all of my 3 sessions to get this kite to work. I finally have returned this kite today.

Great kite! Folds up into a small bag you can keep in the glovebox of your car. Very easy to fly!

Right off the bat, this kite was much smaller than I anticipated. Even though it has the dimensions listed, I was imagining a much larger kite (I've been looking for a kite for aerial photography). The kite itself flies great, super easy to self launch and is pretty stable, but can't lift much weight. I found a bigger kite for less money that can lift my camera, but I'll be keeping this one as I'm using the tail and the 500 feet of line it came with. I included a picture with my hand for reference since I couldn't find any size reference photos on the internet for this. PS - Parafoil 2 stands for 2 square feet, something I wish I realized earlier.
