The Hunger Games Trilogy

Do I really have to review the Hunger Games? Come on. It's one of the best series out there, if not the best! I had read the HG series on paperbacks. But, I fell in love with it and I knew I had to get the hardcovers. Coming to the quality of the books. The covers are beautiful! The dust jacket has those texture on the titles and on the mockingjay bird. The mockingjay is engraved on the actual cover, which adds to the aesthetic of the book. The pages are good and the binding is really strong. If you want to collect, you got to get this one. This one should be on every book enthusiast's shelf. P.S. The best part, this is the FIRST EDITION. Yes! This is the first one! As always, Happy Hunger Games and may the odds be ever in your favor!

The Books I loved the books and actually finished them all within a week just because I couldn't stop reading. Everyone must read it once in their lives but once is not enough. Hats off to Suzanne Collins. I have recommended the books to my friends and not one of them took longer than a week. The Packaging I was a bit taken back by the satisfactory packaging. But, they were still in a condition to be read although they box was completely destroyed. I wonder how it made it to my place.

I am big fan of epic novels. I don't like fiction usually but in case of epic novels I gladly make an exception. I loved the "Lord of the Rings" series. I loved the "Song of Ice and Fire"(also referred to as Game of Thrones) series. After finishing these two I was hungry for more such epic tails, then I came across this piece. I was a bit skeptical as to whether this can match the levels of the other series' that I have read. Obviously one can argue that you cannot compare the class of "Lord of the Rings" or "Game of Thrones" with Hunger Games, but as a reader once I picked up this series, I was glued to it, the novels have a very fast paced narrative which is full of action and romance and I wasn't satisfied till I had read the last of it. I finished this series in flat one week. I would recommend Hunger Games Trilogy to all GoT and Lotr fans. Last but not the least I would like to mention that the page quality is good and I received a free gym bag with a Mockingjay logo on it with the 3 book set, so I was more than happy that I ordered the trilogy at one go.

This is not a book review. The product is pristine, perfect. It has the original symbols underneath a shiny, beautiful glass jacket also the first edition. Wow!

I got the set of 3 books in a deal and also got a T-shirt free with it :) Amazon - Amazing me always! The first book is the best. The second continues with the same speed. But the third gets a lil boring.

Absolument génial, à la fois science fiction et métaphore de notre quotidien (présent ou potentiel…), ça se lit d’une traite ! On retrouve un peu le cynisme des situations que j’ai adoré dans Games of Thrones : nul n’est à l’abris dans cette aventure, un piège vous attend dans chaque chapitre. Et le plaisir suprême : des personnages complexes, humains, mis dans des situations exceptionnelles mais dans lesquels on se reconnaît. Succès largement mérité !

I've read all the books in many different locations (metro, airplane, outside, etc) and the books are built good enough to withstand heavy use

You may know this book 'cause of the movie. Well, "the book is better". When I first saw the trailer for the movie, I didn't know about the books. but it got me so interested I went straight for them. By the time the movie was out, I had already read the whole trilogy. And I'm glad I did. To be fair the first novel was ported to theaters in a good way and it's coherent with the book in all the important parts (there were few adjustements made 'cause of the different media used). If you went to see the movie but didn't really care for the action, and instead were more curious about the whole world in which it is set, please pick this trilogy. You'll find what you were missing, expecially in the 2nd and 3rd book. What I really liked is its plausible characters with real problems and capable of using their brain, and interesting points about class differences and the use of media.

Eu tô simplesmente APAIXONADA, os livros são mais lindos do que eu esperava. Houve um pequeno atraso na entrega mas valeu muito a pena. Mal posso esperar pra ler a trilogia no idioma original!
