Fantasy or prelude to history, it's a great read!
Well written, fast paced and full of action that makes it hard to put down, this is a great read for anyone who grew up with comic book heroes and graduated to action adventure and more sophisticated fantasy stories. A classic and time-honoured tale of good versus evil, with the twist being that the larger-than-life characters (literally!) are straight out of the Old Testament - but believe me, these are not your traditional Bible stories! This is a story that can be enjoyed on many levels, as a prelude to history or as pure fantasy. I look forward to the rest of the series.

Dark Angels is an intriguing read. It combines the imagination of giants and prehistoric type animals with a biblical relation to the early generations in the Bible. It is written in such a way that it is a possibility of filling in the gaps of those early generations. Once you start the book, you will not want to put it down. β Eddie Silman

I love the storyline and how the writer brings out the characters
I liked leaning about the historic bible characters before the great flood. The characters were well developed and the entire book was a continuous story that came to a great conclusion. I really didn't dislike any thing. I am anxious to read his next two books in the series.

All honesty if you are reading this review, it's worth the read. But the price is steep. To quote it's press release"A story as old as time itself, The First Immortal: Dark Angel is a fast-paced story about the struggle between good and evilthat combines spellbinding adventure like Lord of the Rings with the creatures from Jurassic Park and features charactersfrom the Old Testament. The darkest and most mysterious times in the history of the world are brought to breathtaking life. Magnificent and powerfulbeasts roamed the earth and the seas, along with giants, fallen angels and their offspring.Myth, legend and theology intertwine in this tale of love, betrayal, redemption and the quest for eternal life, set in the periodimmediately before the Great Flood. The reader is transported to a majestic civilization built by Adam, the first man, Cain, hisson and antagonist β and their deadly foes, the Dark Lords, led by a powerful ruler, Lucifer."It's a really good read, with short chapters that leave you wanting to read more, but also feeling like you are really getting somewhere. No expectations is the best way to go into this book. Just let the story carry you to the possible avenues of these "Bible" characters. I don't really post reviews, but this just is neat read and fun to get to know an author through his early work. Can't wait for more!

I love a good book about fantasy
I have mixed emotions about the book. I love a good book about fantasy, but I am not sure about combining mythology, spiritualism, and scripture. I am well aware of the symbolism in the Bible. Much of which is still a mystery and to me God's design to prepare us for the disasters of non-belief. However, the mixture of Greek mythology with biblical references gave me pause. I wondered if someone who knows very little about the Bible will be able to perpetrate fact from fiction. There is enough confusion today about Christianity without adding to fuel to the fire.Otherwise the illustrations, characters, and plot were very readable. I would really be getting into the action and use of scripture, then here comes methodological characters that simply negated the biblical truth. I think the writer could have stuck to reference from biblical text and still painted an exciting book. When he used things like shouting down walls in battle, walls of jewel like protection, I could see it. Real Bible characters living much longer than us, giants, strange creatures and animals, I could relate to scripture. Just didn't see the need for including myths with Holy scripture. It is a very exciting book and should be enjoyable for most.

Frank John Ingersoll, Author "INNER LIMTS I and INNER LIMITS II"
Have you ever wondered what it might have been like after God banished Adam and his wife from the Garden of Eden? How did Adam's children and his children's children function in a fallen world without God's protection. Where was Lucifer in this fallen world which became his domain? And, what about our scientists discovery of the bones of what they define as prehistoric creatures, no longer present in this 21st century.Stone Palatin has ventured into this unknown territory with almost hostile imagination and a breathtaking adventure of mankind's quest for power, rebellion against God and desire to come out from under Satan's dominance. What if you had been born in those days as a son of Adam or his son, Cain? You will become engrossed in the battle of good and evil, life and death, love and hate, and greed and lust. This book will dig deep into your own imagination and stimulate to wonder what this world might have been and how did we get to where we are today.

One of the most unique stories I have ever read
As an AVID reader of fantasy (a book a week for the last 15 years), I want to say that this is one of the most unique stories I have ever read. It never occurred to me that, before the Fall, prehistoric creatures coexisted with the first few (at least?) generations of Adam and Eve. And, as mankind had tamed horses, why couldn't they tame fantastic beasts? Saber tooth tigers, dragons, unicorns - all living with Man. I love how Stone explores what happened after Cain was outcast... Biblical records are vague, and Stone developed a believable "what happened after?" scenario with Cain and his offspring.More interestingly, is the development of the legendary Nephilim, Cherubim, and Seraphim. Who are they? What are they? How did angels come from earth and mate with humankind? (Genesis 6...read a commentary lol). What became of their offspring? What has been lost in the thousand-plus years between Adam and Noah? So much missing....and Stone excites the reader with a story of what may have happened....a dark battle amongst Men and Fallen Angels guaranteed to keep you turning the page long after your bedtime....
