Nizoral Anti-Dandruff Shampoo, 7 Fl Oz (Pack of 2)

I love this shampoo, it does the we work to keep scalp off my hair and I feel clean and good after every use and my hair looks amazing.

This stuff works. I've tried just about every over-the-counter product, and this is the only stuff that works for me. Smells great. Not at all perfume-y. Good as an everyday shampoo, it leaves my hair feeling clean and soft with just a small dab. A single bottle lasts me a long time. It's a bit pricey for the quantity that you get, but it goes further than cheaper products. And again, it actually works.

My goal for this product was to achieve hair growth which may not be your primary motivation. About two years ago I noticed that my hair was thinning badly. I’m going to be 58 next month and I have left what used to constitute One pigtail that’s now a single ponytail. . I had the classic male pattern thinning above my temples and with my bangs. I was completely freaking out as my hair is kind of my signature feature. It’s always been wavy and fine but pretty. I also let my silver grow out about four years ago and the lack of processing has made my hair healthy, shiny and soft. At the end of 2018 I embarked on this research project about how to re-grow my hair and keep what I have from hair care products, the way that I treat my hair, and nutrition. They said not to keep your hair tightly wrapped up and to let it flow, that washing your hair every other day was better because it removes buildup on the scalp, so I dumped the Pantene and tried the biotin shampoo starting two years ago. At the same time I start Taking the 5000 mg of biotin pills for hair and nails from natures bounty that I got at Costco. And at the beginning of 2019 I research which vitamins and foods to eat which include anything high in vitamin A like red and yellow bell peppers, red cabbage, spinach, Sweet potatoes, Butternut squash and cauliflower… along with almonds sunflower seeds salmon eggs and Greek yogurt. I bough this Nizoral In April 2019. As of today I have an entire undercoat of fine new hair but it’s only about 4 inches which leads me to believe that the biotin shampoo really didn’t affect things all that much. Four Inches of hair growth is about 8 months. So I went back on to Amazon to see you when I first bought this dandruff shampoo and lo and behold it was in April which is eight months today - January 1, 2021. I do believe that nutrition is key along with stress management and sleep course. But I find it really interesting that I’m able to trace the number of inches to when I bought this shampoo. I don’t know if it’s 100% direct correlation but I can testify that is working for me in the hair growth department. I also found a different hair growth vitamin that I’m going to start using next week. It’s called Hair La Vie. Last observation. I did use Nioxin 3 for a number of years and I don’t think it worked as well as the shampoo coupled with the nutrition. Because I still had a lot of hair thinning of the temples which is now filling in considerably. And also Nioxin dries your hair out badly. I like alternating between the biotin shampoo and this dandruff shampoo because the Biotin Shampoo is less drying than Nizoral. The key is to get it worked up into your scalp really well and just let it sit there for a while so you have to like use it less often. Wish I had bought more... It's gotten expensive.

I have suffered from dandruff since I was a teenager and this is the only shampoo I have ever found that actually works for me. Head and Shoulders, as well as pretty much every other over the counter dandruff shampoo, uses the active ingredients of pyrithione zinc, salicylic acid or selinium sulfide, which probably works for the majority of dandruff sufferers, but never made a dent for me. The active ingredient in Nizoral is Ketoconazole, which treats fungal dandruff conditions. Now, this stuff will leave your hair feeling dry unless you use a conditioner after you rinse (Nizoral has a conditioner, but it is not medicated and pricey, so I just use my regular conditioner). I only use this shampoo once or twice in a week since it is pricey, and even that little bit keeps the flakes out of my hair. I live by this product! If you have dandruff that does not respond to other dandruff shampoos, BUY THIS now. You will not regret it! Get the 2 pack from Amazon. It is the best bang for your buck. I have never found it cheaper in any local store and the 2 pack is cheaper per ounce than buying a single bottle.

fantastic. never thought i would find something to treat my itchy head. I compulsively would touched/picked my scalp for the longest. Then my head was always itchy and it seemed to be an unbreakable cycle. This shampoo in combo with the dandruff brush comb tool and willpower saved my scalp. I felt less urges to touch my scalp bc it truly itched less after using this. Now that my extreme dandruff has decreased SO MUCH, I now am back to using my pureology and just using my dandruff comb (this shampoo is hard on your hair, very drying). The only thing I noticed is my hair gets greasier faster. I can usually go 4 days no issues but i found 2 days was as much as i could go without getting greasy hair. Still waited to wash anyways lol... I figured it's because this shampoo strips oils to help rid of dandruff. Trying to retrain my hair again with the pureology. Also, try to avoid your facial skin! I saw it helped someone with their forehead acne (which appeared to be worse than mine) so i used on my face and it gave me more acne bc I did not need it lol.. so avoid directly putting on your face unless instructed by a professional hahaha ugh Anyway, if you're struggling with dermatillomania, it's a must.

I wish I would’ve used this product sooner. After a week my dandruff of 5+ years was 99% GONE. I do have just a little along my hair line but that’s nothing to what I had before. I bought 2 bottles because I do have thick curly hair and a lot of it. I do use a good amount, even though this shampoo goes a long ways. Also this shampoo smells good, it doesn’t have a nasty smell or anything. I’ve been struggling with dandruff for a couple of years now (I’m 21), after pregnancy it got worse. I was using head & shoulders, sadly that created more dandruff. Every time I would come out of the shower I already had huge flakes along my hairline after 20 minutes it was ridiculous. My boyfriend & friends would always point out that I had something on my head and wow was that embarrassing! Also all these reviews convinced me of buying this product. I know it may not work for everyone but it’s definitely worth a shot! I’ll most likely use this shampoo for years now since I’m scared of switching to a normal one and having my dandruff flare up. This shampoo made me feel confident about my hair again!!
