Five Stars
Fantastic, tied up many loose ends. I only wish I'd read it before my trip to Jamaica last year!

SKA FANS MUST READ
Ska fans will like this - good retrospective of ska music. Hardcover would be nicer.

I learned so much!
Outstanding background into a genre of music that is fascinating. I'm listening with different ears. Thanks!

Good Cultural book
This book is so important in the perservation of one of the original music types prior to Raggae. The author is doing such important work bringing this history to the community. The rhythms are unique and the history of great performers from the Kington ophanage makes for good reading for anyone. Ska: An Oral History

Ska - an oral history
This book is great... gives many perspectives, pictures, stories, etc. from artists over the years and developments of ska. So much to learn about and take in... brings my appreciation for this amazing music to a whole new level. The author keeps it interesting, too.

Expensive and quite limited
This is a book from 2010 and it only runs up to the end of 2 tone records, it's about 200 pages and frankly is barely a collection of interviews you could probably get as much on any website I was hoping for something more like So Much Things to Say the Oral History of Bob Marley this is far more lightweight on an arguably bigger subject

Overpriced and lacking in depth.
Hugely disappointing. Very little Ska history, 70 pages dealing with the early Ska years and then the rest was a mixed bag of Two Tone. For me a hugely expensive book that did nothing to improve my knowledge and understanding of the Ska genre.
