A Summary book of Glasser's most important principles
This is almost like a picture book. It shows a subject or problem. On the left page he uses an example of how a typical conversation would go (Control Psychology - wrong way). On the right page, he shows how a Choice Theory conversation to handle the same situation would look. A very handy book.

Short, sweet, and crystal clear
This book, while of few words gives a clear set of examples of old psychology or "external control" and how the same situation can be made infinitely better by using Choice Theory instead. I have given examples like these in many of my sessions with clients and couples and I always pose the same question, "Now how do you see this situation being different by using the Choice Theory approach? How will your relationship benefit?" This book allows the reader to see many side by side comparisons and in doing so showing the reader the stark differences between the two psychologies.

Informative
This book is a great addition to Glassers other work on choice theory. This is an amazing resource to help change your way of thinking.

Choice Theory through conversation
For anyone just beginning the truly transformational journey of Choice Theory, this book is an excellent starting place. Readers can see that Choice Theory provides a clear manner of assertive (not aggressive) communication. I recommend it for anyone and everyone who wants to improve their relationships through better communication--married couples, parents to children, children to parents, co-workers, etc.The book is an easy and quick read, yet it is packed with helpful information.

Helpful to see the CT concepts in practice.
I enjoy this book tremendously. I keep it in my office and invite my clients to pick it up and flip through the section which is most relevant to their particular circumstances. It's an easy, useful resource for translating common interactions from angry, accusatory or judgmental into caring, encouraging and supporting statements and questions. LOVE!

Helpful if
If you are going to buy into Choice Theory - then this book is a must because to really use Choice Theory - one must learn the language of Choice Theory. Choice Theory is approached differently as many theories have their own language or style. This book really provides that guidance on how to really use Choice Theory.

This book's kindle version is very bad.
I could't read this book fulltext. There are only 50 peges in the book. And this is not enough for me. This book's kindle version is very bad.

I really wanted this to be good
As a kindle version, reading this e-book on my iPad was confusing. The 'bad' communication is in one paragraph and then the 'good' communication next. It sounds obvious but the 'Good' communication technique didn't always seem to fit as a decent alternative, so it became confusing. I have read some of Glasses's other books and this does not provide a quick overview of the language needed for Choice Theory as I was hoping. My recommendation - read his other books! Very disappointing.
