I wasn't sure how these were going to work, since some reviews state that they are not reusable. I have two bottles, and I've re-used the same caps about 5 times now. If the white piece gets separated, just dump it out of the bottle and snap everything back together.I did notice today that when I was taking the blue cap off my empty bottle that if you don't stick the dowel in far enough, the middle of the blue part looks like it will separate. So, be sure to put the dowel all the way to the edge and you should get plenty of uses out of these. I keep an extra in my glovebox just in case I have any issues.Also you have to force the cap down onto the bottle with a good shove when your bottle is filled.I'm very happy with this purchase!

I live in Carson City and have 120 gallon fish tank. The water is garbage down here so I have elected to transport water from Lake Tahoe when I go up on Lake days. I was using Ziploc bags and rubber bands until I came across this product but what set it off for me was the little wooden dowel you can use to pry the piece off of the bottle. Before I had to take a razor blade and cut the cap off. Now it’s 100% easier to make the trips. Exceedingly worth the buy.

When taken off with the wooden stick, it deforms the lid and they cannot be used again. However at this price, that's okay. My only issue is the white inner membrane comes loose every time it is put on the dispenser. Its floating around in the water every time.

If you are like me and buy the 5gal bottled water from the grocery store, you know as well that the caps make it pretty impossible to refill the bottle a the $1 water machines without ruining the cap or making a mess. To get a refill at the grocery store it is around $6. Crazy. Well -- this little kit fixes that problem. The little wooden tool allows you to remove the cap, without damaging it so that you can fill up the bottle at the $1 water machine and then reattach the cap. The cap will wear down over 5 or 10 reuses, but, the kit has several replacement caps incase they get worn or damaged. Works great. Has saved me a lot of money. I recommend.

They went on easily and sealed the bottle fine. However, when it came time to open it up, I could not get the tab to start opening the cap. I ended up having to cut it with a box knife to remove the neck of the lid. I not sure why they even put a pull tab on it, when it does not work.

Second purchase of these 5 gallon water bottle caps. They last a long time and are reusable to some extent.
