Great lock!
This is standing up to the weather better than I expected. I squirt a little WD-40 into it once in awhile to protect the innards. It works great on my 6 ft. fence gate. I'm using this only as light security, but if installed per the instructions this could be an effective lock for more serious security. I wanted a simple, keyless, self-contained lock, easy to install. This was just what I was looking for.

Excellent solution
I needed a solution for locking my bus door. School bus doors are designed so that you cannot lock any children inside. Well, I needed to fix that. You can see by the picture that there is some surface rust appearing on the slider. I found this sturdy enough and the tumblers easy to work, even when it was raining and I was half blind.

Locks gate from outside for gardener.
Using as a safety lock for backyard pool. Placed on the wooden fence surrounding area, but also needed to allow gardener access. Instructions to set up are easy. Door and door jam need to meet on a level plane. Numbers are large enough to see combination. Just concerned that winter freezing might affect tumbler. But then again, the gardener doesn’t work in the winter.

Rusting after one month of use 🙁
Bought this for my shed outside, install and use were good but already rusting after one month? Disappointed and concerned how long this will last if rusting this much in one month.

Easy to install
Easy to install, lock feels solid. Combination is easy to change, but no so much that it could be done accidentally. I wish the bolt was a bit longer.

Solid.
Seems very well built, nice and heavy. Smooth slide bolt action and combination lock. Good finish. Security screws would have been nice to be included, but I didn’t need them.

Great lock!!!!
Worked great for my project. Now for the 8 screws that comes with it. First the lock comes in 4 pieces, 2 of the pieces are mounting plates for the lock, so when mounting the plates the screws are hidden once you place the locking devices over the mounting plates, after that it doesn't matter what screws you use, because once you lock the device you can take the screws (4) out, but you can't take the locking device out because there is a latch on the mounting plate holding it in place. However I did use security screws to mount the lock for extra security.Hope this helps you to understand the security screw part of this lock.

All you need is the first number to open.
Seems like a nice lock. Installed and used it for the past month or so when we finally finished the gate part of our build.I flicked the wheel to lock it and went on my business.I tend to rattle the lock as I go in and out of my other gate (keypad lock) and I must have hit the wheel as it opened.Imagine my surprise when this gate lock didn't have the combination (let's say 9898) The first number was a 9, however the rest of the numbers were random. So I got curious. I found if you spin the wheels, sometimes it locks, sometimes it doesn't, it's all dependent on your first number (here a 9) if I set the wheel to 9898 it will open, however if I set the wheel to 9452 it also opens but if I set the wheel to any number with 898 as the last set, it won't open.So I'm looking for a new lock. I doubt anyone will figure this out (in the alley), but anyone can give the wheels a spin and if the first wheel lands on 9, it opens right up!
