I bought a different brand that was hard to use. This one is easy to se and accurate.

Bought several for stocking stuffers at xmas. Works great and recommended highly.

Works for studs
Found the corners of studs no problem. Simple to use. I expected more from the deep scan feature though.

Far from precise
Not feeling confident about it. I scanned a wall a couple of times and each time it gave a different reading of where the stud wa, around 1/4" - 3/4". It does notify if you there is an electrical wire in the vicinity... but vicinity is not exactly precise. Theres a 3" range of where the wire is. Which doesn't really help me in avoiding it.

Just like the old one I had
The one I received is exactly like my old model purchased many years ago before they had all the digital garbage, changed the lights around etc. I've used several of the newer ones that customers or other workers had and they just didn't work, rarely finding the stud on the first try or even at all. This one worked as expected, finding the stud every time.
