There are reasons laws are made and sometimes they seem funnier than sensible. My clients and I have fun reading and discussing the laws and their intent. It takes the bite out of hardcore behavioral therapy, and my clients can usually get through another day without poor behaviors. I recommend this text as I've been able to add another creative bend to counseling.

Bought this on Amazon.com. As an attorney, had read other books about odd laws, etc., so took a look at this book as well. Adds a whole new slew of different laws and odd legal behaviors to the mix. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Hope you do, too.

This is not what I had hoped. I have kids who like to look up dumb or strange laws like "it's illegal to sing in a public pool in Florida". Maybe I should have known by the title "legal oddities"?

It's got a lot of interesting facts but isn't well organized and is a very stop/start read. If you want a good book to read a few pages here and then, but not sit and read through, then its great.

The book is just as it is described

A book filled with fun and facinating stories / facts that makes light reading. Makes you wonder what happened to create the need to make some of these in the first place.

I got this as a bathroom read for my dad. He loves all of the quirky facts and strange laws that make us all criminals.

Sent this book to a friend and they really enjoyed it.

Haven't read it as bought for a gift but it contains fairly short, interesting summaries of various laws and legal cases. Arrived on time.
