Worth the price
Swaddling our daughter helps calm her down when she’s fussy and it is amazing how much better she sleeps when swaddled (even still now that she’s 11 weeks old). We swaddle her every night and for every nap. These blankets are on the expensive side – much more than the flannel receiving blankets you see in stores - but they’re well worth the investment if you ask me. If you don’t care about the design or color too much, certain colors and patterns are reduced prices at random times (and there are TONS of patterns and colors to choose from). They’re very well-made. What makes these swaddling blankets so great is their size (they’re huge at 42”) and their shape – they’re SQUARE! It’s impossible to find square swaddling blankets in stores, and square makes it so much easier to do a proper swaddle. We bought the Summer Infant SwaddleMe and the Halo Sleepsack Swaddle, which work with velcro, but it didn’t take long before she was able to break out of those, so many went unused. We found doing a swaddle the old fashioned way was the most effective and longest lasting. The only other comparable swaddling blanket we found in the stores was the Aden & Anais muslin blankets – they were less expensive and just as large, but they were such a light fabric that our daughter broke out of the swaddle and had the blanket over her face (which scared me to death because of SIDS) in no time. The thickness of the flannel fabric makes it more difficult to break out of. The large size of this blanket will also be great in the future when our daughter is old enough to have a loose blanket in her bed with her – it’ll be a long time before she outgrows this blanket.

Cute, but not as soft as other patterns for some reason
I Love these blankets for my baby boy (and my girl when she was a baby)...they are just the right size for swaddling or just a blanket to play on. The patterns are all so cute, I have 4 of them and have them all around the house for various uses. Strangely enough, the one with little grey dots is softer than the other 3 that are the blue toned ones (this striped one and 2 others with blue patterns). They are still soft enough, but it was just odd that they were different. The softer one was a gift at a shower, so maybe it was a different version. Anyway, these are great. Awesome as shower gifts. Can't have too many of them!!

These are a great size and are good for having around
I bought these when our baby was about 6 months old because her newborn swaddles weren't wrapping all the way around her anymore. These are a great size and are good for having around. But if your baby has any Houdini-like tendencies, like ours does, these won't keep their arms in when wrapped as directed on the tag. We have to fold the top down much farther than suggested, thereby foregoing the ability to tuck her feet in. You need the left and right corners to line up near the baby's shoulders in order to keep the arms wrapped, not down by their waist as shown on the tag.

Great Blanket for babies and toddlers
This is my 5th Swaddle Design blanket, I think they are wonderful. The only reason that I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because the edges of the blankets are stitched in lovely wool, but if anything with velcro touches it, it causes it to pull and fray the stitching. I wish it was made of another material. My son's bibs always need to be washed separately to avoid this mishap. Otherwise these blankets are amazing, they are large, tastefully designed, and makes me a swaddling master.

This swaddling blanket is great. it is the perfect size and I like that it is square. The tag showing you how to swaddle is helpful especially if you are a new mom or dad who has done very little swaddling. The only real downfalls I see is that is could be softer and it is a little expensive for what you get. Otherwise, it is a great swaddling blanket.

These are excellent blankets. Perfect square and large enough for babies who still want to be swaddled at 6 months and beyond. Also, such a versatile size and weight you can use it for a stroller blanket. The material is a very soft flannel that seems to get softer with washes. I hate it when flannel blankets are stiff and end up rough with wear, but this one is perfect! Great product. I bought 2 for my daughter. Wish I'd had these with my son!

The best swaddle blanket we found
As new parents, we were totally challenged by swaddling. This blanket made it easy. It was by far the largest we found on the market, It was the right wait for our fall/winter baby, and because there is no stretch to the blanket held our baby's swaddle securely and snuggly every time. The fabric, well it doesn't have Velcro or another fastener seems to stay in place. There's almost a stickiness about it (think: felt board). We love these!

Better than Aden & Anais for newborns
BEST BLANKETS EVER!Not only are they adorable, but SwaddleDesigns ultimate receiving blankets are better than muslin for newborns. Aden & Anais blankets are great for older babies, but newborns need a thicker blanket for swaddling. No matter how hard she tried, my newborn could not get out of this blanket. SwaddleDesigns blankets are fantastic quality, durable, good-sized and perfect for babies. GET ONE. Or six. You won't be disappointed.
