Drake Off Road The Learning Company Yunshan Amazon Trail 3rd Edition: Rainforest Adventures

This game worked on my Windows 10 laptop but only while the cd was inserted and I like that I could save it (it crashed a few times mostly while fishing.) Travel back to different points in time and learn about the rainforest, wildlife and the native peoples. This game is so fun- no wonder I loved it as a kid!

I decided to risk it on my new windows 8. My computer said, cannot be run contact pulbisher for new version. I was disappointed, but didn't give up. I opened the drive using my computer, and clicked around. Lo and behold I found it under the Data folder. It is called amazon 3 and it's a big file. It works now, but with plenty of crashing, luckily it has a save option so you can save whenever you like. If you have a window 8 and have important files on your computer (I don't, I just use my computer to play games) then I don't reccomend, but if you don't, give it a try!

I remember growing up playing games like "The Amazon Trail 3rd Edition." The first time I got it was from a cereal box.I installed it on my computer, expecting a very lame educational game, but I was presented with an adventure of epic proportions. As a kid, this was the coolest thing I had ever played at the time. Even as an adult, I purchased a copy of the CD and spent hours playing through it. It was more of a nostalgic feel than anything, but nonetheless, it was a great buy.There are some glitches and "cheats" that I've learned from playing it. Like, how you can get an infinite supply of food, go backwards in the game, etc.If you love adventure games, learning, nostalgia, or just want to get your kids to learn something, pick up a copy of this game.

Very fun game. produces a Tiny playing screen on my Windows XP though, about 6x6 inches probably because of resolution, I don't know. Made for earlier computers. It works fine though. A little weird storyline...oh well.. Overall, entertaining and teaches a little bit about wildlife and plants in the amazon.

Had a little problem loading the game, but I finally got it to work. Gave it 3 stars because you only get a small box in the middle of the screen which shows the game. Would love it if the game played on the whole screen.

My sister and I first got this game in a cereal box in the 90's when we were kids. It is educational and fun! As kids we didn't care that it was educational, it was just fun. :) It is still fun and I am 23!

Love this game. Just be sure you can run it on your computer. I needed to download a virtual computer on my physical computer and then uploaded XP on the virtual computer since XP has compatibility mode.

Fun to play and learn many things about the Amazon Rainforest.
