Do not...I repeat...do not listen to any bad reviews on this product! I am beyond happy with this purchase. This is what I love about this lamp:1. Good sturdy quality2. Came perfectly intact...well packaged and no damage3. Took 2 minutes to put together4. Goes perfectly with My MCM decor5. Not cheap looking6. Excellent price for such a quality product7. Arrived quickly8. Looks so pretty9. Gives off a warm glow...it is not a bright light for working but I can read by it10. I used a 60 watt bulb11. The cord is not the standard rubber one, it is a soft cloth material, I really like it and adds to the overall beautiful look and quality...this is a nice touch they put into this product . It does not bother me that the cord hangs down in the back but if you don't like that, you can affix it to the wood with a brown color zip tie12. The shade is a beautiful woven lookI could go on and on about this lamp. Buy it...you will not regret it!

Lamp was easy and quick to assemble. My parts did not come with letters attached so in case yours is similar, the half leg that gives you a lip when you assemble (also has a little felt attached) goes at the top per the picture. My only complaint is that it's a little wobbly - I might get some felt or rubber feet for the bottom to make it a little more stable. But for the price - wow - very nice.

It looks perfect where I needed it and puts out just the right lighting.

How can this item even be sold on Amazon? At this price point one would expect a sturdy, well designed lamp. Not at all in this case. The wood is cheap, warped and unevenly stained. What should be an easy assembly of 12 wooden pieces is frustrating because of the poor design. Holes pre-drilled for screws did not have threads or were too large to causing the long screws to just spin and leave parrts ustable. The shade is nice looking but easily dented, poor quality. Such a waste. I threw away the box before assembly so I am not sure how to return. Pathetic!

I wanted a lamp that was different and this fit the bill. It has straight, clean lines that fit in with almost any design style (modern, transitional, modern farmhouse, contemporary) ... I only gave four stars for sturdiness because it is quite light-weight but, that having been said, I don't want a heavy lamp that will hurt a small dog or damage my floor if it were to fall. I love it!

Very nice lamp. Came assembled, great style, the lampshades look like mid century fabric with slubs throughout--nice oatmeal color. Gives off nice strong light. I have two on either side of my couch in a large room and it's ample lighting. The only drawback is the cord is not fed through the lamp so you have to somehow hide it behind the lamp and it attaches way up at the top by the light socket. Walnut is a bit darker color.

I gave this five stars. It’s well-made very pretty, and it gives off plenty of light.

We ordered two of these lamps. One is fine although the shade is slightly off center when fully put together but it does cast a really warm light so we'll keep it in the bedroom. The second was just a mess out of the box -- the shade was dented in multiple places although we were able to reshape it pretty well. However, the base was fully broken in two places so could not be salvaged. The return process was simple but we're waiting to see if the second lamp arrives in good condition.
