The original filters that came with our system lasted one year and gave us the best tasting water we have ever had from our home. One year later, I ordered this new set of filters ( the blue one that also needs to be changed when you change this one) and as to date, the water tastes OK but we are now getting a lime ridge looking deposit around the faucet where the water is discharged. When we boil the water, we get a ton of white, scaly deposits that we never got with the original. I emailed the company about this issue and never got a response. This is not supposed to happen with this type of filter system.I would also like to mention for the people who have to clean their filters often, that's a good thing! You don't want that junk passing through your body. A poor, cheaply built filter will have very little resistance and the water flow will be much faster. The filters sold on eBay are about 99% Chinese knock-offs and do very little, if nothing to protect your family. That is the very reason I purchased this filter on Amazon thinking it was from the manufacturer, but maybe it isn't?

We are living in nyc , we need to clean it up almost every week , the longer is every two weeks .otherwise the water won’t come out easily. This is such pain of the neck . I am not sure how good this filter is that compare to other brand .I am little disappointing this filter .

Great filter. Just put a basic filter in front of it to catch sediment. Water flow shouldnt be fast. Not what its meant for.

I've used this filter for about 7 months now. I am ordering a new one to replace it (per recommended maintenance).I don't like having fluoride in the water and I am under the impression that this filter can 'help' remove some of it (unlike most other filters). I think the flow rate is fine for my drinking water (I actually fill a glass pitcher and use that to fill cups).

Wish I had read read the reviews first. It greatly reduces the water flow. I'd thought to use it to replace my whole house filter, but it really can't do that. Drinking water only.

You just have to clean it on occasion. Lasts a long time

Works very well. Please note: this is a very small micron filter, so it will drastically reduce water flow as any filter of this type will. Only use it for a dedicated drinking water line, not a whole house filter.

Great value in water filter that removes some fluoride. Outer ceramic of filter can be cleaned giving it longer life than other filters in NYC.
