This a great item but I ended up later on buying a neoprene cover for my Leica V Lux Type 114 just because this cover is too chunky and not handy to adapt a belt grip for instance. It also tends to unbotton some of the pin buttons when hanging from the camera.

I bought this leather case to protect my Leica when traveling. It is oh so much more than just a protective covering, though. The exterior leather is beautiful, and the interior of the case is slightly cushioned soft leather. I also love the included leather camera strap which is very comfortable on my shoulder. It is a bit of a learning experience figuring out how to put the camera into the case, but it is protective and nice looking once you do. I have found that putting the obvious front of the case over the lens first and then sort of rolling the rest on over the back is the easiest way to do it. There is an opening in the case for the strap so you can carry it as usual with the case on. Great pricing for such a lovely leather camera case.

I could not be more thrilled with this case. I read a couple of negative reviews after I ordered it, so I had my expectations set on medium low. I have a feeling the negative reviewers may have been mistaken on the model camera this was designed for (Leica V-Lux Typ 114). The fit was absolutely perfect. It was incredibly easy to install and so well made and constructed. It quite literally elevates the look of Leicas entry level camera. Simultaneously, it enhances and improves the grip and feel of the camera. It’s also a fraction of a fraction of the cost of the Leica badged case. Do not hesitate to buy this great accessory for your Leica Typ 114.

I ordered this for my Leica camera.I am not known for my mechanical skills. I had difficulty figuring how this work. I did figure it out.I do not like the open area. The camera is not a cheap one and I wanted better protection. This area leave my camera open to the elements.
